Stonethorn
August 24, 2020 - PC/Mac/Stadia, Consoles - Patch Notes
On June 16th, the Stadia release launched. From then on, ESO could also be played on the platform Stadia.
Update 27 brought us two new 4-player dungeons, with one dungeon that included a Hardmode for each boss for the first time. Also, character pathing was added to the Housing system, which allowed players to create custom paths for pets, mounts and assistants. This update included several performance improvements, optimizations and stability enhancements, in addition to a large audit for all item sets to reduce their implications on performance.
New Features & Updates
Stonethorn DLC
- New Dungeons, Stone Garden and Castle Thorn, which continue the story arc of "Dark Heart of Skyrim"
- New Item Sets, Achievements and Titles, Dyes and Collectibles
Base Game
- Performance Improvements, Server Optimization & Stability, the game's access to the database has been refined to ensure the system doesn't become overloaded when part of it generates a large amount of traffic or messages for a particular task. Also, the server performance has been improved in one of the least performant cases by distributing Trials more evenly across the system.
- Character Pathing in Housing, now players were able to tell a pet, mount or assistant to follow a specific route in their home. It prepared the way for Houseguests, NPCs that you could interact with but didn’t have any other use than adding to the scenery.
- New Furnishings
- Battlegrounds Outfit Styles Rework
- Outfit Style Cost Reductions
- New Motifs
- Gamepad Mode Scaling, a gamepad version of the Custom Scale setting could now be found in the gamepad Video settings. These settings provided a control over the size of UI elements within gamepad mode. The keyboard version of this still only impacts UI elements outside of gamepad mode.
