The Elder Scrolls Online Night Market is the game’s first-ever Event Zone, delivering a limited-time, high-difficulty PvE experience set in the extra-planar city of Fargrave. Designed primarily for veteran players, the Night Market combines difficult world bosses, public events, dungeons and a full 12-player Trial.

The Night Market Zone has some of the most ambitious rewards ESO has ever offered, including a free Night's Den iconNight's Den player house with a functional in-house bank (you won't need a banker!).

What Is the ESO Night Market?

The Night Market is a large-scale cooperative PvE zone set within an extra-planar city of Fargrave. Unlike standard overland zones, combat difficulty is intentionally elevated to be closer to Trials and Arenas, while still maintaining an open-world structure.

You can think of The Night Market as just like any other zone, it just has a lot more bosses.

Night Market Features

  1. Much higher combat difficulty than standard overland content and Mechanics requiring coordination
  2. You can not resurrect normally, you need to wait for a ress or spawn on a Rooftop Oasisis safe zone
  3. Faction Favor (Reputation) system with Faction Vendors
  4. Escalating boss tiers: Brazen → Argent → Gilded → Opulent
  5. 3 unique Dungeons and a 12-player trial (Opulent Ordeal)
  6. Quests, Oddities (Puzzles), Daring Races and many other activities

While solo play is technically possible, the Night Market is designed to reward grouping up and learning the boss mechanics.

For a full breakdown of every boss fight and puzzle, see the ESO Night Market: How to Beat Every Boss and Puzzle guide.

What you can solo in the Night Market

Most of the Night Market content will require grouping up, but several things can be soloed. For example, you can use Shadow Cloak iconShadow Cloak from the nightblades Shadow skill line to stealth around.

ESO Night Market Factions

Upon entering the zone, you must pledge allegiance to one of three factions. Your faction determines your titles, dyes, banners, monster sets and cosmetic rewards. For a detailed breakdown of each faction, see the Night Market Factions Guide.

  1. The Glittering Goad (Patron: Tachien)Wealth-driven meritocrats who control most auctions and merchant stands. Power is earned through coin, contracts, and influence, anyone can rise, if they can afford it.
  2. The Ruckus (Patron: Kharakhal Moon-Eye)Enforcers who rule through strength and intimidation. They demand a cut of all business in exchange for protection, seeking to reclaim dominance after their district fell to darkness.
  3. The Thousand Eyes (Patron: Molto the Whisperer)An ancient collective of the overlooked and insignificant. They wield power through numbers, secrets, and information gathered from the shadows of the Market.
  • Faction choice is account-wide
  • It cannot be changed for the duration of the event season
  • Each faction has a vendor that you can purchase rewards from when you reach 1,000 / 2,500 / 5,000 / 10,000 Favor for your faction

How to Earn Faction Favor

Best way to farm Faction Favor is to pickup your Faction Leaders Daily Quest (kill a boss, complete an oddity etc), the Blood on the Sands Daily Quest from Dorfifar at the plaza and then join a group to kill bosses. Faction Leader dailies can be shared with your group members.

Icon icon Bearer of Fargrave, Broken Skull How the Bearers of Fargrave met their end is a mystery known to no mortal or Daedra yet living. It's said a great and terrible calamity occurred, the Bearers forgot their purpose, and they met their ends as aetherial sands rose to consume them.
Icon icon Bearer of Fargrave, Skeletal Jaw It's said that in ages long past these great colossi once hefted Fargrave onto their shoulders, transporting it down a great and winding road. This endless procession wore paths in the very fabric of the Aurbis that still survive to this day.
Icon icon Hourglass of Akatosh Brace, Massive "To one such as I, time itself can be shaped. It can be moulded. It can be broken. When I command the sands, all will know of my artistry." - B'Kyfxi
Icon icon Imperial Titan Slayer "While I still stand, the Empire yet lives, filth. For the Emperor! For Cyrodiil!"
Icon icon Valenwood Skull Blocks "Aren't they incredible? I did the alchemical peeling and preservation and a friend did the enchantment. I'm on leave from the rangers next week, we're going to play for King Camoran himself!" - Glooredel

Icon icon Egg of Arac Replica A facsimile created to honor the living spider mounted on a gauntlet which allowed its user to grapple their way through the Skittering Precinct.
Icon icon Gleaming Lamp The Gleaming Lamp's light burns for a short, yet resplendent, time outside of the Night Market. Formed in a blaze that rivals even Meridia's Dawnstar Gem, the Gleaming Lamp does its best to destroy any shadows around it.
Icon icon Gleaming Lamp Replica A recreation of the powerful Gleaming Lamp. While the original is capable of casting enough light to keep the hungering Baleful Darkness at bay, this lamp is perfect for chasing the shadows out of dimly lit corners.
Icon icon Night Market Curator Adventure. Power. Mischief. Tests of strength. All await in the Night Market, as any who curate here knows.
Icon icon Night's Den The Night Market provides vast opportunities, including a former bank vault in need of a new owner. Hoard your wealth—and your faction's secrets—inside. Plus decorate your den with faction furnishings as you gain favor with your chosen group!
Icon icon Not My Coins! Don't you dare touch my precious coins!
Icon icon Trophy: Alziriix Trophy taken from Gilded Alziriix in the Gossamer Crypt.
Icon icon Trophy: B'Kyfxi Trophy taken from Gilded B'Kyfxi in the Timeless Wallow.
Icon icon Trophy: Fateline's Knell Trophy taken from Gilded Fateline's Knell in the Mournful Catacomb.
Icon icon Trophy: Web Eater Trophy taken from the Opulent Web Eater in the Opulent Ordeal.
Icon icon Windglass A dazzling display of the Windglass reforming from the sands of the Parch. Able to withstand sandstorms and buffeting gales, this delicate hand fan's stunning beauty hides surprising strength.
Icon icon Windglass Replica The Windglass keeps the sandstorms and cascading walls of sand from buffeting adventurers about in the Parch, but in the safety of their own home a replica is more than sufficient.
