- Cosmetic Only: Skill Styles do not impact a skill's damage, healing, or effect in any way.
- Account-Wide: Once a Skill Style is unlocked by one character, it is immediately accessible to all characters on that account, acting as a new type of collectible item.
- Morph Compatibility: Styles can be applied to either the base skill or any of its morphs.
How to Access and Use Skill Styling (Step-by-Step)
How to change your skill style in The Elder Scrolls Online:
- Unlock the Style: First, you must unlock a Skill Style (like Regeneration, Azure Blue) by completing the associated quest, achievement, or collecting fragments.
- Navigate to Collections: Open your main menu and go to Collections > Appearance > Skill Styles.
- View & Activate: Select the Skill Style you have unlocked. It will show you the corresponding skill and color.
- Apply the Style: Go to your Skills menu (default 'K' on PC).
- Use the Style Selector: Find the skill (Regeneration) that has a style available. You will see a small Style Selector (Paintbrush Icon) to the left of the skill's name.

Understanding the Skill Style Fragment Chase
Some styles require a fragment chase which takes you to various zones, dungeons and trials.
- Collect Fragments: Acquire multiple unique fragments. Once consumed, these fragments unlock a specific achievement and grant the skill style.
- Guaranteed Drop: Fragments have a 100% Drop Chance.
- Binding: Fragments are Bind on Pickup, meaning they cannot be sold, traded, or shared with other players.
- Content Requirements: For example, a style might require fragments from: Delves, Public Dungeons, Trials, Dungeons, World Bosses or World Events.
- Weekly Vendors: Fragments rotate through the stock of Infinite Archive Merchant and Tel Var Weekly Merchant in Imperial City.
