Orsinium
Released: November 2, 2015 - PC/Mac, Console - Patch Notes
The Orsinium DLC brought a huge new zone to ESO, making players able to explore the home of the Orcs, Wrothgar, and making them able to help rebuild the city of Orsinium.
Also, for the first time, a single player arena was added to the game. Before we had a 4-player arena in Craglorn, but now players were able to experience the game on a new challenging level, without being able to receive the help of others. Veteran Rank 16 players were able to qualify for the Veteran Maelstrom Arena leaderboard, where at the end of each week the top 100 players of each class would be granted special rewards via in-game mail.
The base game patch included a number of changes and improvements, the largest of which being the significant changes to the Champion Point system. There was no a champion point spending cap and so the maximum number of points any player could spend in the system was 501. Points continue to be earned, but were unable to be spent after the cap had been reached. In addition, players without any Champion Points would earn them very quickly, whereas players already beyond the soft cap would earn them very slowly. This was intended to help the power creep and allow for new players to catch up more easily. This update helped the PvP community considerably, as for the first time players could spend Alliance Points on valuable items that could be traded for gold with other players; Akaviri motifs and their style items, for example.
