Elsweyr
May 20, 2019 - PC/Mac, Consoles - Patch Notes
Elsweyr brought the long awaited story arc surrounding the Khajiit and Dragons that had returned to ESO. These dragons officially brought us the word "World Event" and together with Wrathstone was the beginning of the year long story arc that would span through every DLC without an exception.
It also introduced a new trial, called Sunspire, with a hardmode for each boss, and a number of new Collectibles, Dyes and Titles, a new crafting ingredient, and even a unique expandable house that players could unlock simply by completing a portion of the main story.
It also brought the Guild Finder to ESO, which was a new tool to connect players to likeminded guilds. A new mode was introduced to Cyrodiil with the addition of Weapon Artifacts, which, after picked up, would swap out the ability bar so that players would be the living embodiment of an ancient weapon. There were also several campaign adjustments including Alliance-locked Campaigns, a new Imperial City Campaign, the removal of Guest Campaigns, and some changes to the Emperor Leaderboard.
Several sets were reworked for PvE, as well as for PvP. Players also got access to ESO Logs, a tool that would record a trial run for example and list everyone's performance. Also, Skyshard Achievements were added for alternate characters which you could buy in the Crown Store, so that they didn't have to be searched again on a new character if you had found them before.
Also, last but not least, the introduction of a new class - the Necromancer. Long awaited, players were extremely excited about this new addition to the game. The Necromancer could be played as Tank, Damage Dealer and Healer. It should become one of the strongest class in the game, especially for PvE.
