Gold Road is a Chapter in the Elder Scrolls Online, released on June 3rd 2024 for PC/Mac, and June 18th 2024 for PlayStation and Xbox.
New Story, Zone and Quests
Gold Road will introduce a new story-arc featuring the lost Daedric Prince Ithelia, who has escaped her imprisonment but does not remember who she is. This turn of events has brought chaos to the West Weald, the new zone in the Gold Road Chapter, featuring the city of Skingrad, not seen since TES IV: Oblivion.
Players will need to navigate the threat of Ithelia's chaotic return, which has warped a region of the West Weald into a dangerous, unnatural landscape filled with twisted creatures, as well as the encroaching wilds of Valenwood in the south.
The new West Weald zone will include all of the usual features you have come to know, such as Public Dungeons, Delves, Points of Interest, and Towns.

New 12-Player Trial
Gold Road will add a new 12-player trial, called Lucent Citadel. Venture into a long-forgotten Daedric vault to discover new enemies, rewards and mysteries.
Scribing
Scribing is a new system described as a "precursor to Spellcrafting". It allows players to create new, customisable abilities based on those found in the Weapon, World and Guild skill-lines.
Players will combine Grimoires and Scripts to forge these new spells, and a new currency called Inks will also be consumed when crafting them.
To get started with Scribing, players must seek out Ulfsild, a new NPC who will teach you about how Scribing works, as well as the history and lore behind this form of magic, as part of a new multi-quest story arc.
Skill Styling
Players can further customise their skills with the new Skill Styling system. Unlike Scribing, this is entirely cosmetic and will allow you to change the appearance of some of your skills, also from the Weapon, World and Guild skill-lines. There will be 22 different Skill Styles to collect at launch, with more planned for future content releases.
All of the Skill Styles released with Gold Road will be obtainable by exploring the zone, for example completing certain acheivements or quests.

(1 item) Activating Block while in combat grants you Steam Guardian for 0.5 seconds, reducing your damage taken by 99%. This effect can occur once every 10 seconds.
Blocking an attack while Steam Guardian is active reduces its cooldown by 5 seconds.
