Guide

Build Explaination

Build advisory video has been uploaded to YouTube! Start your rotation with Lotus Fan as a gap-closer. From there, proc your Void Bash set with Power Slam. Then start block casting for the rest of the rotation. It's important to use Power Slam BEFORE blocking, as to avoid procing Turning Tide too early, before all the adds are grouped up. Once they are however, then bash to apply Major Vulnerability to up to 7 adds. Throw down your Refreshing path, and go around and Puncture what remaining adds. Focus the bigger ones first. Repeat as needed. Keep buffs up such as Mirage, and Dark Cloak. Dark Cloak is VITAL and is used to proc Crimson Oath. Everytime the ability timer hits 9(7 if you don’t have your Shadow tree passives), be sure to use Dark Cloak again as soon as possible, to insure 100% uptime on that important debuff from Crimson Oath. Keep block casting so once your Turning Tide cooldown has passed, you can proc it again immediately. Ideally for trials, I swap out TT for Umbral Edge. This allows for longer uptime on Major Vulnerability as well as some added damage mitigation but with the drawback of being mostly single target. Reapply Minor Vulnerability with Lotus Fan every 10 seconds, keep in mind this is your only ability you CANNOT block cast. Same with boss fights. Use Power Slam in boss fights if and when the boss summons adds. You can use Nazaray instead of Nunatak if your healer or off tank doesn't want to run it, otherwise the Major Brittle from Nunatak is really helpful for your team. Nunatak can be proced either by Frost Clench or just Light Attacking with your back bar. If you do run Naz instead, best to save your ultimate for bosses, and use it once you've applied Major and Minor Vulnerability as well as Major and Minor Breach with Pierce Armor. You can also slot Concealed Weapon if you want the passive minor expedition, Wall of Elements and Sap Essence are both flex spots that can vary depending on the content specifically. You can also use Refreshing Path as a speed buff for you and your team in-between add pulls to get around fast. Siphoning Attacks is phenomenal for resource management. Just be aware it does cost health. While not recommended until you're comfortable with the build, you can also run The Steed mundus stone for even MORE speed. But I would recommend The Atronach for Tankblade or even Tank beginners.
