Guide

Build Explaination

This is my day to day solo PvE character I use for sneaking past all the trashmobs and killing the bosses, good for overland, world bosses, public dungeons and the like. Excellent for doing Guild quests where they want something from a delve, or storyline quests.

I got into the idea of sneaking past all the trash playing SWTOR on an assassin and thought I'd make a build for ESO which worked the same way. I started with all the stealth sets; 3 x Night Terror, 4 x Darloc Brea and 5 x Mother's Embrace, but that's really overkill on a nightblade and for solo the Pale Order ring seemed essential so I lost the Mother's Embrace for Stinging Slashes, to make the spammable hit harder, and Slimecraw for more damage. The backbar bow is Darloc Brea which gives 6 pieces of that on the backbar, that's a travel  bar so I want the bow for the Hasty Retreat passive, and the Darloc Brea 5 piece bonus is good, but only out of combat, and having 2 pieces of something else gives no better out of combat bonus that I could find, so I went with it.

The back bar is for travel, you move reasonably quickly in stealth if you keep popping race against time, you can pop shadowy disguise to move past mobs in doorways or corridors, concealed weapon is only there for the passive speed buff if gives. I guess you can use it if you like the animation or something, but if you're behind someone then blade of woe is a much better option from stealth.

When you want to attack you move round to the flank of the enemy sticking the reaper's mark on them and leeching strikes and shadowy disguise on you, then you bar switch, close the gap with Ambush, heavy attack, power extraction, light, rending slashes, light, rending slashes, light … , killer's blade. Camouflaged hunter is also only there for the passives, bear in mind half of them need you to be flanking.

Incap Strike is there for the passive (which no longer exists) but it does give +20% damage now when you trigger it and it's a nice stun, soul tether gives another healing option if things start getting dicey, but could be swapped out for something else, Dawnbreaker or the Mage's Comet maybe?
