This build focuses on Fatecarver as our main source of damage with the help of THE BEAR + Animal Companion and Assassination passives.
I parsed ~112K dps single target on trial dummy using the powerful Highland Sentinel + Slivers of the Null Arca sets combination.
In content you can use Highland Sentinel, but if you can't maintain it, switch to Tide-Born Wildstalker.
If you don't have access to any trial set, you can use Deadly Strike and Tide-Born Wildstalker together.
Order's Wrath and Back-Alley Gourmand are good alternative choices.
For trash fights and fights where the boss summons small adds, Sul-Xan's Torment is the best trial set. For AoE heavy fights, 3 or more targets, Kazpian's Cruel Signet is the best trial set. If you don't have access to that, the next best option would be Ansuul's Torment.
We use Velothi Ur-Mage's Amulet as our mythic because it's the go-to and meta part of sets this patch.
Because Slimecraw was optimized, for head piece you can use any 1 piece monster helm that gives critical chance.
We backbar some abilities because of their passives.
If you can afford Heroism pots, use those. If not, Tri-stat pots do the work.
Merciless Resolve is slotted for Assassination passives and Major Savagery and Prophecy buffs. You can fire it or just leave it there.
For solo build, you can use Velothi Ur-Mage's Amulet on easier content and if you needed healing with that setup, use Reaving Blows champion point. For Content that do not need Slayer passive, best set combination is Deadly Strike + Tide-Born Wildstalker. All of solo build's credit goes to Hyperioxes. I just tuned it to my liking.
The order of using Set distribution across gear pieces is flexible. Adjust according to availability and preference, but remember to have 1 light piece, preferably belt, and other pieces on medium.
Any race is viable for this build but personally I choose Dark Elf because of it's versatility.
