Guide

Build Explaination

Pre-buffs:

Always make sure to have your food buffs active and before every encounter, activate Quick Cloak and Inspired Scholarship.

Trash or Overworld Enemies:

For trash fights and overworld content, focus on using stampede to close the gap and swap to front bar to generate crux and start beaming as soon as possible. It isn't worth it to try and setup all of your dots as they won't have time to deal their full damage, effectively wasting the GCD and the resources.

Boss Fights: Opener.

With pre-buffs ready, we start on the back bar, using Stampede, then Fulminating Rune, followed by Ice Comet(or whatever damage dealing ultimate you have equipped on the back bar. Swap to front bar.

If you are at <3 Crux at this point, use Cephaliarch's Flail until you are at 3 Crux. It's important to note that even with Velothi Ur-Mage's Amulet we still need to light-attack weave with this build to not only maintain ultimate generation, but to help generate Crux with Inspired Scholarship. Upon reaching 3 Crux, we use Exhausting Fatecarver. Now we move into our rotation.

Boss Fights: Rotation.

After the opener, it's all about maintaining dots, but not resetting them too early. Let them just about run out whenever possible, because we want to be using Exhausting Fatecarver as much as possible. We also need to keep up our buff from Inspired Scholarship. Generate Crux and spend them as often as possible while maintaining dots and buffs.

We use Ice Comet in the opening, but from then on, use ultimate on Soul Harvest(or Incapacitating Strike) as soon as you generate enough ultimate. the best way to utilize this ultimate is to use it right after reapplying dots and buffs and having generated 3 Crux, then you can try to squeeze in as much beam time as possible during the ultimate damage buff window.

It's good to get into the habit of stockpiling Crux from trash fights right before a boss fight or even a more challenging add pull, this can give you significant burst in either situation, helping catapult you into the rotation portion of the fight.

This build is very stamina-hungry, so watch your resources and use potions and synergies as often as possible. Downtime really hurts DPS output.
