On either bar, start with Critical Surge and be sure to refresh every 33 seconds in combat. Most battles don't last that long, but if you're in a solo boss battle you can have the sustain with it on to hold up against about half of the world bosses. Critical Surge is most of your survivability though, with a solid heal every time you critically hit which should be about every other strike, depending on how leveled your gear is in improving your mundus stone effects. When solo I have a 55% chance to crit out of combat.
Then every 2 strikes enable Crystal Weapon and Light Attack twice, or if you're low on stamina in of-tank mode, Heavy Attack then Light Attack. And repeat.
When the hostile is new you can drop in a Poison Injection every 20 seconds, but when they are below 50% health, I'll start dropping Poison Injections once every weave.
If you're about to take a big hit obviously Roll/Dodge is your go to, but in Archer mode you can also shield with Hardened Ward. Where as in Tank mode you NEED to keep the ward from Shielded Assault up consistently. Using Shielded Assault is your biggest Stamina Drain which is when you'll need to think about using Heavy Attacks in your Crystal Weapon weave.
Your ultimate ability on both bars Suppression Field is a nice damage and stun. Most of the time in solo PvE it's completely unnecessary. It does come in handy for boss battles though. And can be helpful for your group on a big pull.
