We recently were given access to the upcoming ESO Necrom chapter thanks to Zenimax, and we were able to check out quite a few new things that will be coming to the Elder Scrolls Online later in the year.
We've already covered what we know about the Arcanist class, including all of the skills and passives.
Now we'll be sharing everything we know about the four Mythic items. It's important to keep in mind that the version of Necrom we saw was a preview build, and it's possible that one or more of these Mythics may look different by the time we get to the PTS or the full release of the chapter.
On the build we saw, the Mythics did not yet have their names decided, however we can still share with you the effects that each Mythic item will apply to your character when equipped.
What Mythic Items are in ESO Necrom?
Below are the four ESO Necrom Mythic items that we know about:
- Mythic One - If there is more than one living group member besides you, your ultimate generation is disabled, and your ultimate generation is instead shared between all living group members. You also get Minor Heroism.
- Mythic Two - When you are above X% stamina, you gain a Fake Block effect while in combat, which grants X% damage reduction, while causing you to lose stamina whenever you take damage. We don't know at this stage how this will interact with block cost reduction or movement speed.
- Mythic Three - If you don't have any active set bonuses that require two or more pieces, you gain a X% bonus to damage done and healing done, and X% damage resistance.
- Mythic Four - You gain X Offensive Penetration, X% more damage done and X% more critical damage done, but your light and heavy attacks deal X% less damage.
As mentioned earlier, we unfortunately do not have the names of the Mythics at the moment.
The first mythic item could be very interesting depending on how the effect will stack up - is it possible to have multiple players in the same group sharing ultimate in this way?
The third mythic in the list is likely to be an interesting one for theorycrafters too - it remains to be seen what kinds of builds one could make with this.
And the fourth mythic seems to be another attempt by Zenimax to offer a damage bonus to players who are not very good at weaving light or heavy attacks (or just don't like to do so). Those of you who were playing ESO just under a year ago probably remember the fuss surrounding the Oakensoul Ring. Perhaps this Mythic item will be a repeat of that drama, although it's too early to say for sure at this stage.
In any case, you'll be able to test out these Mythics for yourself when the ESO Necrom Public Test Server goes live on April 17th. In the meantime we hope we have given you some food for thought with these previews!
