The Scribes of Fate DLC and update is now live on the PC/Mac platforms in the Elder Scrolls Online, and will be coming to consoles in two weeks time.
In this article we will summarise the new content that this latest addition is bringing to ESO, along with the most important changes to the base game.
If you buy the Scribes of Fate DLC or are an ESO Plus subscriber, then you'll now have access to two new dungeons, and first we'll take a look at those.
New Scrivener's Hall Dungeon in ESO
Scrivener's Hall is the first of the two new dungeons coming to the Elder Scrolls Online in Scribes of Fate. Overall, this is the more difficult of the two dungeons, with the first and last bosses in particular having quite a few mechanics that your team needs to learn.
You'll encounter enemies wielding some of the magic of the Arcanist class, which will be coming to ESO later in the year. So you could view this dungeon as a little preview of things to come.

New Bal Sunnar Dungeon in ESO
Bal Sunnar is the other new dungeon in ESO Scribes of Fate.
In this dungeon, you'll utilize psijic magic to travel through time, tackling enemies at three different stages in the history of Bal Sunnar. The dungeon will be very different depending on which time you are currently exploring it.
You can also solve two new puzzles and a hidden mini-boss in order to complete the dungeon's secret content.

We'll now take a look at the base game update, that all players will get regardless of whether or not they have the Scribes of Fate DLC.
New Changes in ESO Update 37
Below is a summary of the most notable changes to the base game in Update 37, which has been added to the game along with the Scribes of Fate DLC (or will be in two weeks if you're playing on console).
New PvP Item Sets
There are three new PvP item sets which you can obtain via the Rewards for the Worthy system. Rewards for the Worthy are mailed to you after you obtain a certain amount of Alliance Points in one of ESO's PvP game modes.

New Furnishings
Rolis Hlaalu, the Mastercraft Mediator, has seven new furnishing plans for you to purchase:
Combat Balance Changes
This patch is pretty light in terms of combat and balance changes, especially in comparison to some of the patches last year. There is another small rework to the damage scaling on light attacks, but it is fairly minor and you probably won't notice much of an impact to your DPS.
The Empowering Chains morph of the Fiery Grip Dragonknight skill has now been renamed to Chains of Devastation, and will grant you Major Berserk for four seconds whenever you cast the skill.
The Sorcerer has seen some buffs to its shield abilities, Conjured Ward, Hardened Ward and Regenerative Ward (renamed from Empowered Ward). Sorcs also got a buff to the AOE damage element of Mages' Wrath - damage to subsequent targets is no longer decreased.
The Templar's Ultimate skill previously called Empowering Sweep has now been renamed to Everlasting Sweep, and will last for 10 seconds instead of 6, but will no longer give the Empower buff.
