Could the Bloodspawn Monster Set Make a Comeback in ESO High Isle?
Could the Bloodspawn monster set be worth using for tanks in the Elder Scrolls Online High Isle update?

Bloodspawn is a monster set in the Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) that used to be very common for tanks to use, however is today mostly relegated to beginner builds or tanks who choose to run an "off-meta" setup for fun. When it comes to the tanking meta, Bloodspawn was largely replaced by other sets that give more directly useful buffs to the group, such as Encratis's Behemoth, Magma Incarnate, and the Mythic item Spaulder of Ruin.
With the new item sets coming to the game in High Isle however, could it be possible for Bloodspawn to become a good set again?
Ultimate Sharing in ESO High Isle
The idea of tanks providing extra ultimate regeneration to their team isn't exactly a new one, there are a couple of notable sets that already do something like this, namely Drake's Rush and Arkasis's Genius. The issue with these sets however is that the effect is limited to four player groups, making them great for dungeons and arenas, but not so good for trials. With the High Isle chapter though, there is going to be a new set available from the new trial, Dreadsail Reef. This set is called Pillager's Profit, and it works by providing 5% of your spent ultimate straight into the ultimate pool of up to 11 group members every two seconds, for ten seconds, which can grant up to 100 ultimate to each team member if you saved up 500 ultimate before using it. The biggest limiting factor of this is that a group member can only receive ultimate this way once every 25 seconds, which stops you from doing anything too overpowered with it, for example putting it on multiple group members to allow your team to spam ultimate abilities constantly.

This does put Pillager's Profit in a situation where it needs to compete with other very powerful tank sets such as Claw of Yolnahkriin, Powerful Assault and Elemental Catalyst, three sets which are currently very well entrenched in the tanking meta. It will be up to each individual group to decide if they want to replace one of these sets in order to supercharge how quickly they can use their ultimate abilities.
If you do decide to go with this playstyle on a tank though, then the Bloodspawn monster set will complement it quite nicely, so we could be seeing it more often assuming none of this stuff gets nerfed by the time High Isle comes out.
High Isle will release on June 6th 2022.
