How do I Level Up Enchanting?

Chapter 2 / 7

Leveling up Enchanting Crafting is not a very difficult task, it might take a while the first time because you have to farm runes or glyphs (or buy them in the guild stores) and figure out how to do it, which will be shown in this guide. However, once you understand the concept of leveling enchanting, it will take no more than 10 minutes if you already have all the necessary materials.

While your first character might take long, your second and third etc will take less time to level it up because you understand how it works and you will also have the necessary materials.

Inspiration

Inspiration is the experience you gain to level up all crafting skill lines in ESO. There is only a few ways to increase your actual Inspiration experience.

  • 10% "Inspiration Boost" from the ESO Plus Membership
  • 30% “Inspiration Boost” Champion Point perk, acquired by spending 45 points.

ESO Plus Inspiration Boost

ESO Plus is the subscription that Elder Scrolls Online offers, there is a lot of benefits to it and one of it is the extra 10% Inspiration boost that you get.

Champion Points Inspiration Boost

In theCraft treeof the Champion Points system you can find a perk called"Inspiration Boost"that will increase your Inspiration experience gained by 30%.

What about other Experience Boosters

Experience boosters such as Ambrosia Drinks or Experience Scrolls don't have any effect on the Inspiration experience gained.

Leveling Enchanting

Leveling up Enchanting follows the same process as most crafting skill lines, you have to either create or deconstruct glyphs.

Slow But Steady - Option 1

While you are leveling up or doing quests you will obtain glyphs or runestones. Instead of selling them you can actually deconstruct the glyphs to gain Inspiration experience and advance your level in enchanting. Yes, this will take a while but it won't cost you anything.

Buy and Deconstruct - Option 2

Another way would be to buy glyphs in the guild store and deconstruct them. This is pretty much the fastest but also the most expensive way to level up enchanting.

Two Player Method - Option 3

Items made by another player gives the most inspiration, especially when they are better and high level glyphs. Deconstruction always grants more inspiration than creating a glyph. A lot of players team up and create glyphs, trade them and deconstruct them again to gain Inspiration experience.

  1. Find a crafting partner who is near your crafting level.
  2. Each partner creates glyphs for the maximum level possible
  3. Trade the items with your buddy.
  4. Deconstruct the glyphs made by your buddy.
  5. Repeat till you hit max enchanting level.

Note: Glyphs from another Player will give much more Inspiration experience compared to when you craft glyphs yourself and deconstruct them.

To get to the max level you need approximately:

  • 300 Denata
  • 50-100 Rekuta
  • 150-200 Essence Runes (Cheap ones like Dekeipa)
  • 200 Potency runes of all levels

Make sure to level up enchanting passives as soon as you can, that way you can craft higher tier glyphs, the ranks are:

  • Aspect Improvement passive: Rank 1, Rank 6, Rank 16, Rank 31.
  • Potency Improvement passive: Rank 1, Rank 5, Rank 10, Rank 15, Rank 20, Rank 25, Rank 30, Rank 35, Rank 35, Rank 40, Rank 50.
