How to become a Werewolf in ESO Guide

 header

Welcome to the ESO Werewolf Guide on How to become a Werewolf. You may have wondered how to become a Werewolf in the Elder Scrolls Online. This guide will hopefully help you find the answers you have been looking for! If you are looking for skills, please visit the Werewolf skill line page.

In order to become a Werewolf in ESO you have to get bitten by a Werewolf. Which is a little easier said than done; it can’t just be any Werewolf roaming around in Tamriel. In total there are three ways to get infected. We will list all three ways here and recommend which may be the easiest for you.

Lycanthropy, the affliction which makes you a Werewolf, is also known as Sanies Lupinus. It is an affliction your character can catch that has benefits and drawbacks. Before you can be a Werewolf in ESO, you need to be infected. Once you have this debuff in your character sheet, you have to complete a quest in order to progress the disease to full Lycanthropy and gain the associated abilities.

1. Crown Store Method on how to become a Werewolf in ESO

The first and easiest way to become a Werewolf is by buying it in the Crown Store in ESO. It costs a total of 1500 Crowns when it isn’t on sale. We do not recommend using this method under any circumstances. It is of course up to you what you do with your money, but there are other ways to become a werewolf that cost either nothing at all or a tiny amount of gold, and don't take much time. It is not worth 1500 Crowns at all.

2. Infection from Werewolf NPCs Method to become a WW in ESO

There are three spawn locations for Werewolf NPCs in Tamriel which can infect you with Sanies Lupinus. These are in Bangkorai, The Rift and Reaper's March. Unfortunately, these NPCs aren't always there. They only appear at certain times. They only spawn at night, and only during the full moon. Once you become infected you should go to a nearby Wayshrine where you can start the quest Hircine's Gift. After having done the quest you will be a fully fledged Werewolf.

The easiest way to become a Werewolf is to get infected by another player. If you aren't part of a guild, or if you don't know anyone that can infect you, you can usually start to ask in zone chat of larger cities or in the zones where you can find Werewolf shrines. Sometimes a player may charge you a few thousand gold, however many others will do it for free. The player giving the bite needs to have the Bloodmoon passive unlocked in their Werewolf skill line, and they must bite you next to one of the werewolf shrines, or else it will not work.

After bring bitten you can progress with the Werewolf quest, and after finishing it you will unlock the Werewolf skill line and the associated abilities.

We hope you found the How to become a Werewolf Guide in ESO (Elder Scrolls Online) useful.
