Can I be both a Werewolf and a Vampire at the same time?

No. You can only have one affliction active at a time. If you want to switch, cure your current condition first then pursue the other.

Do I need any DLC to become a Werewolf?

No. Lycanthropy and the Werewolf skill line are base game content available to all players.

Does it matter which alliance I am when picking a shrine?

No. As of One Tamriel, you can travel to any shrine regardless of your alliance. Pick whichever is most convenient.

Can I become a Werewolf on multiple characters?

Yes. Lycanthropy is per character, not account-wide. Each character needs to go through the infection and quest process separately. If you have a friend with the Bloodmoon passive, they can bite one character per week per shrine visit.

How often can a player bite someone

Once per week. The Bloodmoon passive allows you to infect one other player per week by returning to a Werewolf ritual site.

What happens to my skill points if I cure Lycanthropy

Your skill points invested in the Werewolf skill line are refunded when you cure. Your skill line progression and XP are saved, so if you become a Werewolf again later you won't need to re-earn those levels, though you will need to re-allocate your skill points into the abilities.

Will I lose my Werewolf skill line progress permanently if I cure?

No. XP earned and morph progression are preserved. The skill line simply becomes inactive until you're infected again.

Can I use the Armory to switch between Werewolf and Vampire builds?

Yes. You can save a Werewolf build and a Vampire build in separate Armory slots. Swapping between them handles the affliction state and skill point allocation automatically.

Do Werewolf skills count as criminal acts?

Some do. Werewolf Transformation, Pounce, Hircine's Bounty, Roar, Piercing Howl and Infectious Claws are all flagged as criminal acts in the skill data, meaning using them in view of witnesses in civilised areas will generate a bounty.

Can I infect a player who is already a Vampire?

No. Players with Noxiphilic Sanguivoria (Vampirism) active cannot be infected with Lycanthropy.

What is the female Werewolf model and when is it coming?

A visual overhaul of the Werewolf model is confirmed for Season Zero, including a female Werewolf variant being added to the game for free. This is separate from the Update 49 launch on March 9 and is expected in June, though an exact date hasn't been confirmed.

Is being a Werewolf worth it?

It depends on your build. Werewolf is a strong choice for Stamina-based PvE and PvP builds. While transformed, you replace your regular skill bars with the Werewolf skill line, so success depends on managing transformation uptime.
