Ansei Frandar Hunding Patron Deck Tips & Tricks for Tales of Tribute ESO

 header

Today we are taking a look at how to play with the Ansei Frandar Hunding Deck in the Tales of Tribute card game in ESO (Elder Scrolls Online). The Ansei Frandar Hunding deck generally focuses on power and shuffling cards back to the top of your deck. The Patron itself gives you free Coin whenever he favors you.

Below you can find the full list of Ansei Frandar Hunding cards currently available. If you don't know about the type of cards that exist please visit the Tales of Tribute Beginner Guide, which explains this in detail.

Powerful early game cards that you should acquire

The Ansei Frandar Hunding deck has some really good early game cards. You can purchase the Warrior Wave for 4 Coins, this card will give you the option to pick between 3 Power or acquiring another card in the Tavern for up to 4 Coins.

The Conquest card does pretty much the same thing and also costs 4 Coins. However, the Conquest card also has a combo that gives you another 2 Power for free. Always get this one if possible, especially since it only costs 4 Coins.

With these two cards (Conquest, Warrior Wave) and the starter card that you already have in your deck Way of the Sword you can gain Power very fast in early game. This will put you ahead of your opponent and pressure him to also gain Power somehow. If the opponent gathers cards for too long you might be so far ahead that the opponent won't be able to catch up. The Way of the Sword isn't particularly good, but it allows you to pull off combos more often and you can choose between 1 Coin and 1 Power.

The Power of Ansei, returning cards to the top of your deck

The Ansei Frandar Hunding Deck has cards that can really make a huge difference. Cards like Shehai Summoning, No Shira Poet or the [March on Hattu] let you return cards in the cooldown pile to the top of your deck.

This is very powerful, this can give you such a great advantage. Because with this you can keep moving powerful cards like agents or cards that give a lot of Power to the top of your draw deck, guaranteeing that they will be in your hand in the next turn. Often especially powerful when the enemy discards your agents and you simply put him onto the top of your draw to get the agent back in the next turn.

Even better, most of the cards always give you a choice of what to do, so if you don’t need to return any cards to the top of your deck, you can pick the other option to do something else.

High cost cards that are worth it in the Ansei deck in Tales of Tribute

In the later stages of the game you might get lucky and can acquire the card Ansei Assault or the upgraded version Ansei's Victory. It costs 9 Coins but will enable you to easily gain a huge amount of Power or let you acquire another card for free with a cost of up to 9 (or 10 for upgraded).

Of course the Ansei Frandar Hunding deck alone won’t bring you to victory, but it works great in combination with Grandmaster Delmene Hlaalu. You can keep acquiring free cards in the Tavern and then use the Grandmaster Delmene Hlaalu patron to sacrifice these cards and give you Prestige in return.

So on top of just farming Power with Ansei you could also acquire free cards and use Hlaalu to swap them for Prestige, further advancing your points to win.

Free Coins with the Ansei Frandar Hunding Patron

You can spend 2 Power to flip the Ansei Frandar Hunding Patron to your favor. He will give you 1 Coin. You will keep gaining 1 Coin as long as the Patron favors you. The opponent might of course flip the Patron back to his side.

Another thing to point out is that the Patron has no neutral stage, he flips directly either to your or the opponent. This can also be used in case you want to try to get a match win by flipping Patrons. Most players think you will need 2 turns to flip him from the opponent's side to yours, but in reality you just need 1 Patron interaction.

Conclusion Ansei Frandar Hunding Deck

The Ansei Frandar Hunding deck allows you to gain a lot of Power in early game if you are lucky enough to get the Conquest and the [Warrior Wave] card. In addition, certain cards like the Shehai Summoning (and others) let you move cards from the cooldown deck to the top of your draw deck. This can be especially useful when you want to move agents or endgame cards back on top of your draw deck.
