Arcanist subclassing bomber build - Update 47 - Construye PvP - ESO

Have you seen anyone playing an arcanist bomber these days since subclassing? I haven't 🙈 This setup is something I've found really fun to play, so sharing it here for others to enjoy 😊

Guía

Explicación de la construcción
Esta guía está escrita en Inglés.

Q1: Can we run this setup with dual wield instead of 2H?

Yes, full details for our dual wield setup are included in the link above, see 'alternative option - dual wield'. Our dual wield setup takes advantage of block mechanics (yes you read that right) to get a good balance of damage and survivability. This hits harder than the 2H setup, but is slightly squishier in my opinion.

For dual wield, we're using the templar's Restoring Light skill line instead of the necro's Grave Lord. This offers us the 'light weaver' passive which automatically blocks all incoming damage for up to 2 seconds after using an ability with a cast time (i.e., tentacular dread). This allows us to complete our burst rotation and helps us to get away. We're also using the 'Riposte' CP for a bonus 33% damage to our next direct hit upon blocking in close range for even more damage.

Q2: Can we use pestilent colossus (necro ult) instead of languid eye? Which one works better?

Yes. In my testing, both work equally well and can hit just as hard. Oddly enough, the necro ult can also be used to proc recuperative treatise. I prefer to use languid eye because it comes with a 50% snare, which means I'm often able to squeeze in an extra brawler swing. Also note that languid eye gets an extra boost in damage from the necro's passive ('rapid rot').

Q3: I wish to use the Aedric Spear skill line instead of Grave Lord. Are there any changes I should make?

In this case, swap out shocking siphon (necro skill) for radiant ward (templar skill) on the front bar. We can keep everything the same.

Q4: Why aren't we running proxy det?

We can always run proxy det if we wish, just swap it out for one of the flex skills. I've opted to leave this out because it doesn't quite fit my preferred playstyle and this setup already packs a lot of damage. I like the flexibility of engaging whenever it feels best, but that's just me, so feel free to customise this to your playstyle.

Q5: What other options do we have to generate crux besides, or in addition to, using trample?

There are a few options here. The first option would be to use runeblades (Herald of Tome) in one of our flex spots.

Alternatively, if we don't wish to use runeblades, we can swap out mist form for contingency (class script) on our backbar. This will allow us to engage quickly with at least 2 cruxes every time. In this case, our updated rotation would be to 1) prebuff with recuperating treatise, 2) contingency (new), 3) sprint to enter stealth, 4) potion, 5) languid eye, 6) tentacular dread, 7) brawler.
