The new Mythic item set called Faun's Lark Cladding is a medium armor chest piece item and lets you pass through enemies while charming them, The charm effect removes their will to attack or cast for 4 seconds.
The Faun's Lark Cladding Mythic item launches with the Firesong DLC in ESO (Elder Scrolls Online).
"For centuries the deerfolk of High Isle have delighted in tormenting travelers. Their antics are mostly harmless, but what a faun thinks of as humorous and what we cityfolk think is funny can take a deadly turn". - Description of Faun's Lark Cladding
What does Faun's Lark Cladding do?
The tooltip of Faun's Lark Cladding says the following: If you continuously Sprint for 1 second, you gain the ability to pass through enemies. Enemies you pass through become Charmed for 4 seconds, removing their ability to attack or cast abilities as they move towards you. Charming an enemy this way restores 678 Stamina and Magicka to you, and heals you for 678 Health. Charming an enemy removes you from Stealth.
Faun's Clark Cladding Animation
The Faun's Lark Cladding animation turns your character into a semi invisible green ghost, sort of. You stay in this form as long as you keep sprinting. And if you hit an enemy they will get charmed and receive a greenish glow around their head. They won't attack you for 4 seconds.
How to get the Faun's Lark Cladding Mythic Item?
To obtain the Faun's Lark Cladding Mythic item you will need to collect five different leads in ESO.
After you have acquired all the leads the Mythic item will "craft" itself and you will find it in your inventory.
How good is Faun's Lark Cladding in ESO?
Now lets take a look at whether the Faun's Lark Cladding Mythic item is actually useful in combat or not. The set might sound great in theory but it isn’t really useful in combat situations both in PvE and PVP.
You can’t charm elite monsters that are immune to stuns. And if you manage to charm a normal monster, it will become cc immune for a few seconds. And in most situations you would rather pull smaller monsters into the middle to destroy them with AoE damage, but if they already have cc immunity you can’t do that.
In PVP the situation is similar, players can immediately break free of it and get cc immunity. It might be better to just get a normal stun and use another better Mythic item. Also, often character positions are desynct and on your screen you might run through the enemy but on the server you might run past the enemy, not activating the effect.
- Elite Monsters are immune
- Monsters have CC Immunity after being charmed
- While sprinting you can't do any other action
- PvP Players can break free of it, resulting in CC Immunity
- PvP location desyncs result in the set not always working
When looking at a Mythic the main question you should ask is always “Is there a better option”. And I would much rather use something like Ring of the Pale Order if I am playing alone or Harpooner's Wading Kilt when playing in a group in PvE.
In the end make sure to test out the set yourself, you might find a use for it for certain situations. We hope you enjoyed this article about the Faun's Lark Cladding Mythic set for ESO. The Elder Scrolls Online is a massively multiplayer online game (MMO) developed by Zenimax Online Studios.
