What are Tamriel Tomes?
Tamriel Tomes are season-based reward books that allows you to earn and spend a new currency called Tome Points.
You can earn Tome Points by completing normal in-game activities such as:
- Questing
- Dungeons and trials
- PvP
- Crafting and exploration
Why ZOS Introduced Tamriel Tomes
ZeniMax Online Studios (ZOS) introduced Tamriel Tomes as a core component of its transition to a new seasonal content model. The system is designed to modernize reward distribution, consolidate old systems and support a new era in which all new gameplay content is free for all players.
With Update 49, the following systems are retired:
- Daily Login Rewards
- Daily and Weekly Endeavors
- Event Tickets get replaced by Trade Bars (Spent at The Gold Coast Bazaar)
New Currency Introduced: Tome Points
Tome Points are the second new currency introduced in Season 0. They are separate from Trade Bars, which replaced event tickets and are used at the Gold Coast Bazaar. Trade Bars are not used for the Tamriel Tomes pages.
- Tome Points: Used specifically for the Tamriel Tomes pages.
- Trade Bars: Earned from Tamriel Tome challenges, but are spent exclusively at the Gold Coast Bazaar.
Tome points serve two purposes:
- Unlocking Tome Pages: Reaching point milestones grants access to new pages with new rewards.
- Spend Tome Points on rewards: You spend these points to claim rewards on any unlocked page in any order you choose.
Keep in mind that up to 2,000 unused Tome Points carry over into the next season, and any Tome Points above this limit are lost when a season ends
Free and Premium Progression
Tamriel Tomes offer both free and paid reward tracks.
- The Free Tome is available to all players each season
- At $14,99 The Premium Tome unlocks additional cosmetic and collectible rewards
- At $29,99 The Premium + Bonuses track grants you a bonus cosmetic and two Tome Point Caches (4k Points total)
- Premium Tomes are permanent once purchased, allowing progress even after a season ends
- ESO Plus subscribers receive additional benefits.
Weekly and Seasonal Challenges
- Weekly Challenges: Five new challenges become available each week. Up to 12 weekly challenges can be active at once
- Seasonal Challenges: Larger objectives spanning the full season that offer higher Tome Point rewards

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens to my old Event Tickets?
With Update 49, Event Tickets are automatically converted to Trade Bars at a rate of 1 Ticket = 100 Trade Bars.
Does the ESO Battle Pass expire?
The Free track resets with the season, but Premium Tomes are yours to keep. Once purchased, you can progress through them indefinitely, even after the season ends.
Can I buy Trade Bars with Crowns?
No. Trade Bars are strictly a gameplay-earned currency and cannot be purchased directly.
What happens to my current Seals of Endeavor?
They aren't going anywhere! They are being renamed simply to Seals, and they will still be spendable in the Crown Store exactly as they are now.
What happens to Golden Pursuits?
The ESO Golden Pursuits system will stay in the game as is.
