The Elder Scrolls Online introduces the Night Market, a brand-new Event Zone that blends open-world exploration, tiered boss encounters, public events, puzzles, instanced group challenges and a full 12-player trial.
Designed as a high-difficulty, group-oriented experience, the Night Market represents an experience closer to dungeon and trial gameplay than traditional overland content.

A New High-Difficulty Event Zone
The Night Market is a temporary Event Zone. Unlike standard zones, the Night Market is explicitly tuned for group play, with enemies dealing significantly more damage and featuring mechanics normally found in dungeons/trials.

Choose a Faction and Earn Favor
Upon entering the zone, you must pledge allegiance to one of three factions. Your choice determines your unique rewards, titles, dyes and monster sets.
- The Glittering Goad (Patron: Tachien): Wealth-driven meritocrats who control most auctions and merchant stands. Power is earned through coin, contracts, and influence, anyone can rise, if they can afford it.
- The Ruckus(Patron: Kharakhal Moon-Eye): Enforcers who rule through strength and intimidation. They demand a cut of all business in exchange for protection, seeking to reclaim dominance after their district fell to darkness.
- The Thousand Eyes (Patron: Molto the Whisperer): An ancient collective of the overlooked and insignificant. They wield power through numbers, secrets and information gathered from the shadows of the Market.
Completing activities in the zone grants Faction Favor, which unlocks new items for you to buy from Faction Vendors.
Important Faction Rules:
- Faction choice is account-wide
- It cannot be changed for the duration of the event season
How Night Market Boss Progression Works
The Night Market has a tiered boss system, where higher-tier bosses only spawn after defeating lower-tier encounters.
Night Market Boss Tiers
- Faceted Enemies: Enemies that glows either green or gold (grant boons when killed)
- Calamitous World Bosses
- Brazen Bosses (Mini-Bosses): There are 12 Brazen underlings across the Night Market (4 per district).
- Argent Bosses (Elite Foes): There are 6 Argent bosses (2 per district). These bosses only spawn after defeating their associated Brazen underling.
- Gilded Bosses (4-Player Instances): High-difficulty group bosses accessed after getting the District Relic and killing the Districts Argent Bosses.
- Opulent Bosses (12-Player Trial): Accessed after killing all Gilded Bosses on each district.
Three Districts to Explore
The Night Market is divided into three major districts, each with its own theme, enemies, bosses, puzzles, and public events.
- The Parch: A dry, arid landscape where wind rattles the bones of the fallen.
- Skittering Precinct: A district overrun by crawling creatures nesting within the walls.
- Sorrow’s Friend: A dark, foreboding area home to malevolent creatures lurking in the shadows.

Solo play is possible, but most players will progress faster by grouping with others or following groups in the zone.
