All ESO Gold Road Chapter Editions and Pre-Purchase Reward Explained

This June, Gold Road, the new chapter of ESO, will be released. It will be available for PC on June 3, and for consoles on June 18. We can look forward to a lot of new and exciting content. Not only will we get a new area with West Weald, but we will also meet the new Daedric Prince, Ithelia, for the first time. In addition, we will get Scribing, a precursor of Spellcrafting, which will allow us to customize our skills individually and with the new Skill Transmog Styling System we will have the opportunity to give our skills a new and fresh look.

Many new things await us. The story of the new chapter continues from the cliffhanger of Necrom and spins the thread further. We learned at the end of the chapter last year that there is a long-forgotten Daedric Prince who has the dangerous ability to alter fate and manipulate destiny to her liking, which could plunge Tamriel or even all of Nirn into chaos. To contain this threat in the past, Hermaeus Mora erased all memory of Ithelia, except his own. But now it seems that she has managed to return with the help of other Daedra. In the trailer we see her walking freely through the streets of Skingrad. Skingrad is located in the new area West Weald and so we can finally go back to exploring this city since The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

Pre-Purchase Rewards

Gold Road can be pre-ordered from now on for all platforms. If you do this by March 18, you will get the Welkyndstone Ruins Wolf mount and the Welkyndstone Ruins Pup pet in-game right away. In addition, all pre-orderers will receive the Eyebright Raven pet, the Strid River Fisherfolk costume, a Diamond Anniversary Crate, Gold Road Treasure Maps and two Experience scrolls, which will give you a 100% experience bonus for an hour each.

Collection Edition

In general, the new chapter will be available as a full version of the game: The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: Gold Road. This version is especially suitable for all players who want to dive into the world of ESO for the first time. It includes not only the new chapter, but also the base game, as well as all seven previous chapter releases. Among them are last year’s chapter Necrom, but also the previous chapter expansions, such as High Isle, Blackwood, Greymoor, Elsweyr, Summerset and Morrowind. That’s a lot of exciting stories and challenging gameplay.

Watch out: However, this does not include the DLCs that were released individually between the chapters during the year. You can buy them in the Crown Shop or simply get access to all content via an ESO Plus membership. If you have decided on the Collection version, you will get immediate access to the game and all previous chapters, but you will explore Gold Road, like all other players, from this June on.

Upgrade Edition

If you already own the base game of ESO and all or most of the chapters, you only need the upgrade version (The Elder Scrolls Online Upgrade: Gold Road). This will also give you access to the new content from June.

Deluxe Version

For both variants, the Collection and Upgrade version, there will also be a Deluxe edition, which will bring you additional and exclusive content in the game at release.

A good reason to choose this variant if you value additional collectibles is that you will also receive all the Deluxe and Collection content from the previous chapters from the past years. However, it is important to know that the pre-order content from previous editions will not be included.
