Base Werewolf Transformation look
The base, unmorphed
Werewolf Transformation is the default look before you pick either morph.
- Transform into a beast, fearing nearby enemies for 3 seconds. While transformed and in combat, abilities generate 25 Fury. When you have 1000, this ability becomes Rampage, which increases your damage done by 15%, Movement Speed by 20%, and removes the cost of all Werewolf abilities for 20 seconds.
- While slotted, your Stamina Recovery is increased by 15%.
Morph-specific markings on the new ESO werewolf
Each
Werewolf Transformation morph now has its own glowing body markings, so you can tell which morph a werewolf has slotted just by looking at them.
Werewolf Berserker Morph
Werewolf Berserker now has red glowing markings across the body and glowing red eyes.
- New Effect: While transformed, gain Major Berserk and your Light and Heavy Attacks apply a bleed. Improves Insatiable Hunger to grant Fury.
Werewolf Pack Leader Morph
Pack Leader morph has green glowing markings across the body (no glowing eyes). The morph still summons two Direwolves,
- New Effect: While transformed you spawn two direwolves, gain Major Protection and increased block mitigation, and grant Minor Courage to you and your group. Upgrades Rampage to grant Health Recovery while active.
Prowl, Werewolf's Stealth Detection Mechanic
Prowl is a new mechanic that gives you Stealth Detection for 6 seconds when you activate crouch. You will not actually crouch or stealth, instead you will begin sniffing your surroundings for stealthed enemies.
- Prowl Effect Description: The hunt has begun. Reduces your aggression radius from hostile monsters by 66% and grants you Stealth Detection for 6 seconds.
Slaughter, Instant Killing Mechanic
Slaughter is a synergy prompt that insta-kills your target. It appears on the same enemies that
Blade of Woe or Vampire Feed can be used on.
You do not need to crouch for the synergy, you just need to stand behind the target.
Reworked ESO Werewolf Ability Animations
Here are all the base morphs of Update 50 werewolf abilities on a female werewolf model.
Block, Bash and Dodge Roll
All three core combat abilities have new animations:
- Blocking raises left hand in front of the character
- Bashing (interrupt) keeps the other hand in front but punches with the right hand
- Dodge rolling does a swirly move with the right hand touching the ground.
Pounce and Carnage
Pounce and Carnage swap automatically based on distance to the target.
-
Pounce: Pounce on an enemy with primal fury, dealing Bleed Damage and applying the Hemorrhaging status effect.
- When you are 7 meters or closer this ability becomes Carnage, which causes you to rip into an enemy and deal Bleed Damage over 12 seconds, dealing up to 450% more damage to enemies under 100% Health.
Hircine's Bounty
Werewolf self-heal and damage buff.
-
Hircine's Bounty: Invoke the Huntsman's blessing, healing you for Health, scaling off your Max Health. You also restore 10% Stamina, increasing by up to 100% based on how high your current Health is.
- While slotted you gain Major Brutality and Sorcery, increasing your Weapon and Spell Damage by 20%.
Roar
Roar is a werewolf crowd control and group synergy.
-
Roar: Roar with bloodlust to fear nearby enemies for 4 seconds and setting them Off Balance for 7 seconds. Grants you a stack of Blood Hunger, which empowers Gnash and Claw Fury.
- Up to 12 nearby allies can activate the Feeding Frenzy synergy, which grants 6% damage done and Minor Force for 30 seconds, increasing Critical Damage by 10%.
- While slotted you gain Major Prophecy and Savagery.
Gnash (formerly Piercing Howl)
Gnash replaces
Piercing Howl as a melee double-bite attack.
- Gnash: Bare your fangs and gnash your teeth into an enemy while ripping back, dealing Physical Damage on the initial lunge and Bleed Damage while ripping out.
- Consumes a stack of Blood Hunger to increase the initial damage done by 25%.
- The second hit deals up to 200% more damage to enemies with less than 25% Health.
Rending Claws (formerly Infectious Claws)
Rending Claws damages multiple enemies.
- Rending Claws: Shred up to 6 enemies in front of you with wild abandon, dealing Physical Damage and an additional Bleed Damage over 10 seconds.
- The initial hit has a 15% chance of applying Sundered, while the damage over time has a 5% chance of applying Hemorrhaging.
