ESO's Golden Pursuits System is being tested on the PTS (Public Test Server) and will release sometime after Update 44 launch. This new system will introduce limited-time activities for you to complete and earn collectibles, similarly to Endeavors.
Keep in mind that this information is from the Public Test Server and is subject to change.
How Golden Pursuits in ESO work
There will be a new category under the current Group & Activity Finder called "Golden Pursuits" and the text will glow golden while they're active. Currently there is no mention of any requirements for them, like an ESO plus subscription or a purchase and seems like everyone will have access to the new system.
You will have a limited time to complete the activities and earn their rewards. For example, currently on the PTS, there is a 7 day time-limit. Unlike Endeavors, you can complete all 12 available activities and not have to worry about being locked out of any rewards.
Through Golden Pursuits, you can earn special rewards such as mounts, costumes, homes, useful resources, consumables, and much more. You can earn rewards from individual activities, completing the milestones (2 and 4) and a final capstone reward at 8 activities completed.
You can pin one activity at a time which makes it show up under the quest tracker on the top right corner making it easier to track your progress.
Golden Pursuit Rewards on PTS
You are able to get five different kind of Rewards from the Golden Pursuits on the PTS currently. The crates showcased are the normal Ayleid Crates and not the special Ouroboros or preview Crates. The Shor's Fox mount has previously been in the "Hare and Fox Bundle" in the Crown Store for 2,000 Crowns.
Golden Pursuit milestone, capstone and individual activity rewards listed:
- 2/8 Activities completed: 3 x Ayleid Crown Crates
- 4/8 Activities completed: 3 x Transmutation Geodes (25 Transmutes)
- 8/8 Activities completed: Shor's Fox mount
- Complete 1 Battleground: 1 x Ayleid Crown Crate
- Complete 5 Quests: 3 x Crown Lesson: Riding Speed
- Kill 70 Foes in Dungeons: 2 x Undaunted Keys
Golden Pursuit Activities on PTS
You can complete the activities in any order you like as you won't be locked out of the individual rewards. The individual activities do not give any rewards unless mentioned, but they do count for the milestone rewards listed above. List of all 12 ESO Golden Pursuit activities that can be tested on the PTS:
- Complete 2 Quests
- Complete 5 Quests (3x Crown Lesson: Riding Speed)
- Kill 50 Humanoid Foes
- Refine Raw Materials 45 Times
- Complete 1 Battleground Match (1 x Ayleid Crown Crate)
- Deal 100000 Damage in Trials
- Use Ultimate Abilities 50 Times
- Kill 70 Foes in Dungeons: (2 x Undaunted Keys)
- Complete 2 Public Dungeon Group Events
- Complete 2 Incursions
- Complete 2 stages in the Infinite Archive
- Deal 80000 damage to Training Dummies inside a home
Currently it looks like the Golden Pursuit rewards will be Crown Store items that have been available at some point in the past. We can't wait to see what else is going to be added to the reward pool!
