This year's New Life Festival will begin next Thursday 15th December, bringing special rewards to the game that can only be obtained during the event.
You will also be able to get a huge 100% bonus XP buff for the duration of the Event. Below we will explain the basics of how the event works. For a more detailed breakdown of everything the New Life Festival has to offer, please check out our Event Page.
How to Get the XP Boost from the New Life Festival
To get a 100% XP boost during the New Life Festival, you need to complete the introductory quest for the event. You can pick up the quest in the Crown Store (for free). The quest is called Breda's Bottomless Mead Mug, you'll need to travel to Eastmarch to complete it. After finishing the quest, you'll earn a Mead Mug in your Collections menu that gives you a 100% XP boost for 2 hours. This boost will stack with other types of XP boost too, such as Scrolls or Psijic Ambrosia. It's a great time to farm XP to level up characters or skill lines - check our our XP Grind Guide for ideas on how to get the most out of it.
Reward Boxes during the New Life Festival
Return to the New Life Festival tent in Eastmarch each day to pick up special quests. Each time you complete one of these quests, you will earn a Reward box which can contain a range of special items, including crafting materials, special Writs, furnishings and cosmetic items, such as pages from the Evergreen and Nord Carved armour styles.
You can complete the quests on multiple characters each day.
Event Tickets during the New Life Festival
As well as earning Reward Boxes from the New Life quests, you will also earn three Event Tickets for the first New Life quest you complete each day, which you can spend at the Impresario or the Indrik Vendor.
Remember that you can only store 12 Event Tickets, so if you have 10 more more it's best to spend some before handing in the quest, to avoid losing out on some of the tickets.
Impresario Goods
During the 2022 New Life Festival, the Impresario will be selling the following items:
- All fragments of the Soulfire Dragon Illusion pet (5 Tickets each)
- All fragments of the Scales of Akatosh skin (10 Tickets each)
- All fragments of the Aurielic Quasigriff mount (10 Tickets each)
- All fragments of the Daggerfall Paladin costume (10 Tickets each)
- All fragments of the Sacred Hourglass of Alkosh furnishing (10 Tickets each)
- Bound style pages from the Evergreen motif (5 Tickets each)
- Powderwhite Coney pet (5 Tickets)
- Companion Guild Commendation (3 Tickets each)
- Impresario's Group Repair Kits (2 Tickets each)
Sacred Hourglass of Alkosh
This is the first chance to obtain the Sacred Hourglass of Alkosh, a new special furnishing which lets you "freeze" the time of day in your player home at one of several preset times. This is perfect for thematic homes, such as setting a haunted house to always be at midnight. Note that the hourglass requires you to have the Soulfire Dragon Illusion in your collections. You will lose the pet when you morph it to the hourglass, but you can buy the fragments again to get another one if you want.
Indrik Vendor
The Indrik Vendor will be selling the following Indriks during the New Life Festival. Note that the Indrik mounts are divided into fragments, but the pets are not.
- Nascent Indrik Mount (5 Tickets per fragment)
- Crimson Indrik Mount (10 Tickets per fragment)
- Pure-Snow Indrik Mount (10 Tickets per fragment)
- Frost-Light Indrik pet (10 Tickets)
- Rosethorn Indrik pet (10 Tickets)
