A new world event called Volcanic Vents is coming to ESO in the High Isle Chapter

We don’t know too much yet about the new world event “Volcanic Vents”, but what we know so far makes us excited about learning more about them!

Every new chapter we are presented with world events and every year it gets more exciting and more interesting, as the challenges increase by a lot. These world events are definitely no longer do-able by one player and usually require at least a group of people to conquer their objective.

The last world event took us to the Deadlands where we had to face multiple foes in a Public Dungeon, sending us to a plane in Oblivion and being greeted by a strong opponent at the end.

This year, the Elder Scrolls Online seems to be returning to the well-known pattern of world events that we know well: overland activities with many foes. Though, this time there’s going to be a trick to it, as Finn mentioned in the Bethesda stream on January 27th.

The Volcanic Vents are expected to be similar to Abyssal Geysers. These were the overland world events for Summerset, where you had to fight against the creatures of the sea and the sloads and could be found all over Summerset by the beach. Finn also said that they are “much more akin” to Dark Anchors as well, which might mean that we will have to stop the geysers from erupting.

A heavy story element is supposed to be connected to them and how they operate, so stay tuned until we know more about them!
