How to use the Zone Guide ESO

 header

Welcome to the Guide on How to use the Zone Guide ESO. Oftentimes newer players don't exactly know how to keep track of all the things you can do in the game, and especially in the area you are in at the moment, so hopefully this will help.

With Update 21, ESO (The Elder Scrolls Online) implemented a new feature. Via the in-game map or via the Group & Activity Finder you can now help in completing zones. It includes a list of locations and activities found in a zone and helps direct you to those areas.

If you are in a zone that has Zone Guide support, press the Group key (on PC/Mac/Stadia this is P by default) to open the Group & Activity Finder and select Zone Guide. You can also access the Zone Guide from the Announcements panel or the Map. In this example we are in Khenarthi's Roost and you can see that we have found all Wayshrines and all Skyshards, but we haven't yet started on the Main Zone Story quest.

The Guide provides a description of the zone, lists featured achievements available in the zone, and t racks Map Completion totals.

Each icon under Map Completion represents a feature in the zone and your progress toward completing those features. Mousing over each icon describes what the icon represents and includes details on your progress.

A button below the zone panel assists you in finding objectives in the zone. For example, if you have not completed theMain Story Questsof the zone, pressing this button shows you where you need to go to start or continue those quests. If you completed the zone's Main Story Quests, the button guides you to the other features in the zone, such as Wayshrines, Delves and Important Locales.

In the above example you could click on "Start Zone Story" and it will automatically start the main story quest of this zone for you!

We hope you enjoyed this Guide on How to use the Zone Guide in ESO!
