Welcome to the How to farm Enchanting Materials in ESO Guide! When you are new to ESO (The Elder Scrolls Online), then you may wonder where to get Enchanting materials. If you haven't played Skyrim, for example, then you may not know that all throughout the world there's Enchanting materials.
But why should you collect Enchanting materials anyway? Well, if you are an Enchanting crafter or looking to become one, you will wonder where to get the stuff. Sure, you can just go to a guild store or ask other players, but you might not necessarily like or enjoy that. Or you also can't afford it, because some of the Alchemy materials are extremely expensive, especially for new players.
In order to craft Glyphs you need Runes and while you can also find Runes from extracting Glyphs at the Enchanting Table, in the long run it's cheaper to find them yourself.
Since you need three kinds of runes, it can get quite expensive! Some of the runes you can find at an NPC that usually hangs around the crafting table, but especially if you are looking for finding rarer runes and want different quality runes you will want to start looking for them yourself.
The three different types are Potency Aspect and Essence and you can find them in Rune-Shrines. Later on, when you have already level the Enchanting skill a bit, you can also make them light up brighter for finding them more easily, but since they already shine a light it's usually not needed.
When you have also gotten into leveling the Psijic skill line you may find yourself one of the lucky persons who can see actual Psijic Portals!
Psijic Portals are usually a lucky find and can contain many beautiful things. Oftentimes rare set items and other useful things!
So as you can see it is absolutely worth it collecting these on your own, as it's not always worth it buying all the ingredients which can be extremely overpriced sometimes.
