Zenimax Surprised ESO Players with an Unscheduled Event today
It's a good time to level up your alts or farm crafting materials in the Elder Scrolls Online, as the Explorer's Celebration Event was unexpectedly launched today!

Players logging into ESO (Elder Scrolls Online) today may have been surprised to be greeted with a banner informing them that the Explorer's Celebration Event was now underway.
Unexpected Explorer's Celebration Event in ESO
Usually this event in Elder Scrolls Online is active in late Spring and also in the Autumn, it's unusual for it to be active in March, and Zenimax did not announce beforehand that the event would be taking place, so we were a little surprise when we logged in to find out that it was active, and I'm sure that some other players were too! This event will last for six days, and while it is ongoing we will get double drops from resource nodes (ore veins, alchemy plants, runestones, etc) as well as double experience gain for all characters. These bonuses apply to all activities in all zones.
With this in mind, if you've been planning to level up a character, this is a great time to do it! Experience boosting items such as Psijic Ambrosia still work as normal during the event, so using them now will cause you to level up very rapidly indeed.
It's also a great time to farm some crafting materials, whether you're looking for things to sell or just want to stockpile them for yourself.
There are no event tickets in the Explorer's Celebration, and therefore the Impresario merchant won't be making an appearance either.

We hope you enjoyed this article about the Explorer's Celebration Event in ESO (Elder Scrolls Online). ESO is a massively multiplayer online game (MMO) and is developed by Zenimax Online Studios.
