The developers of ESO are changing how you can progress the Undaunted ranks in Update 33 Ascending Tide DLC. This change was made because account wide achievements are introduced in the same update.
For the majority of players this change is great, because points are increased for most of the activities as you will see below. Only for the very experienced players the change isn't very popular, because veterans used to grind through all the achievements in dungeons to obtain an insane amount of Undaunted progression points.
Basically before the change you would gain undaunted progression points by simply completing dungeon achievements in ESO. So any player could clear a normal dungeon and get points for Undaunted ranks. Veteran players used to complete all veteran mode dungeons with speedrun and hardmode completion to get many achievements at once and therefore progressing the Undaunted rank extraordinarily fast.
This made it possible to level Undaunted from level 1 to max rank within a few hours if you had a very experienced group with you. However, with the change achievements don't give any points anymore to the Undaunted rank progression in ESO.The UndauntedThe change was made because account wide achievements are introduced with Update 33 Ascending Tide DLC. The developers knew that now you can only earn an achievement once per account and not per character anymore. Therefore they decided to remove the Undaunted ranks progression via achievements completely. As a trade-off they increased the values of other activities in which you can progress your Undaunted rank.
Below you can see the list of how many points you can earn to progress the ranks in the Undaunted skill line once the Update 33 Ascending Tide DLC goes live.
Deadlands DLC (U32) | Ascending Tide DLC (U33) | Activity |
---|---|---|
10 | 10 | Daily Delve |
0 | 25 | Dungeon Quest |
10 | 25 | Pledge Normal |
20 | 50 | Pledge Veteran |
0 | 100 | Pledge Veteran Hardmode |
0 | 50 | Trial Quest Normal |
0 | 100 | Trial Quest Veteran |
10-30 | 0 | Achievements |
Why is this a win for most ESO players?
Most ESO players have difficulties to complete harder achievements such as speedruns or hardmodes which previously gave a lot of points for Undaunted rank progression. Most players usually complete dungeons on normal or veteran mode and both of these got a huge buff in points awarded towards the ESO Undaunted rank progression. Therefore the bigger part of the ESO population will reach max rank in Undaunted faster, while the very experienced veteran players suffer a bit as they can't reach the rank as fast as they used to anymore.
Now you know everything about the upcoming ESO Undaunted Rank progression changes that were announced for the Update 33 Ascending Tide DLC.
