The Most Advanced Build Editor for the Elder Scrolls Online - Now Available to All Users

Over the past few months, we have been working on a Build Editor for the ESO Community to use. After much work, it is now in a public beta phase, meaning anyone can use the tool. This article will go over the basics of what the build editor is and how to use it.

What is the ESO Hub Build Editor?

Our Build Editor is the most detailed and advanced Build Editor available. It's the ideal tool if you want to easily create and share builds with other players, or simply theorycraft and save your build ideas for your own reference. If you're an ESO content creator who wants a place to present your builds, a group player who wants to show builds to your friends, or just a solo theory crafter, then this is the perfect tool for you! I created an example tank build using the editor that you can view here.

Where can I find the ESO Hub Build Editor?

On desktop, you can find the Build Editor by simply clicking the blue "Create Build" button at the top of our website. On mobile, expand the side bar and you can find the same button in there.

How do I use the ESO Hub Build Editor?

The Build Editor is designed to be easy to use, and will take you through the process of creating your build in separate steps. Start by giving your build a name and a description. Then choose the optimal races, the class, the role and the game mode that your build is designed for.

To move onto the next steps, choose what you want to edit next in the Build Editor's sidebar. This is found on the left of the page on desktop. On mobile, expand the sidebar by clicking the button at the top left of the page.

If you want, you can write a guide for your build, post an image and link a Youtube video, but these steps are optional. In Settings, you can set your build to be public or private, select which patch the build is made for, and can view the different setups you have created for your build.

The rest of the pages of the Build Editor allow you to set all the stuff you would expect, including skills, sets, passives, champion points, attributes, food, potions and more. When you are finished, you can upload screenshots if you want.

The Build Editor also includes an alchemy calculator, and will tell viewers what they need to make your potions,The Build Editor also includes an alchemy calculator, and will tell viewers what they need to make your potions,If you want multiple setups in your build, for example a boss setup and a trash setup, then you can create these by tapping the "plus" icon in the sidebar. You can rename and reorder these setups in the settings tab.

Note that you don't have to complete everything in your build, parts that are left blank will simply be left out of your finished build page.

When you have finished everything, make sure to save your build using the button at the top right of the page. Here you can also share your build, or simply view what it looks like outside of the editor.

It's best if you create an account and login before making your build, that way it will be saved to your profile and will stay there until you delete it. You can make a build without logging in, but you won't be able to edit it after creation, and it will be automatically deleted after five days.

I found an issue, what should I do?

The Build Editor is still in a Beta stage, which means we are still actively improving it based on your feedback, and fixing bugs. If you found a problem or have a suggestion, you can tell us about it by joining our Discord and posting your feedback in the ESO-Hub channel, under Project Feedback.
