Our Top Six New Housing Items in ESO's Ascending Tide Update
Ascending Tide, the latest DLC and Update for ESO (Elder Scrolls Online), added quite a few new furnishing items for housing enthusiasts to obtain.

In this article we will look at our six most favorite items, and how you can obtain them. Note that this list does not cover items that can only be obtained via the crown store.

On a side note, if you are new to housing and want to learn more about how all of this works, then check out our Housing Tips & Tricks Guide.

Eerie Hanging Lantern

The Eerie Lantern, Hanging is the perfect lighting item if you are creating a house with a more sinister theme to it. The lantern projects a bright, pulsing, pale green glow and the way the light interacts with nearby surfaces is actually quite detailed and realistic, with the intricacies of the lantern’s casing casting shadows on the wall behind it.

You can buy the lantern from the Undaunted Quartermaster after completing Shipwright's Regret on any difficulty.

Gryphon Nest

The Gryphon Nest is, as you would probably expect, quite large, so you will need a spacious outdoor area to accommodate it. It could make the perfect home for a gryphon non-combat pet if you have one, or you could keep some other things in there if you wanted. No matter what you decide to use it for, this item certainly gives you another option for creating specially themed areas in your player home, which is why it makes the list.

Get your Gryphon Nest from the Undaunted Quartermaster after completing Coral Aerie on any difficulty.

Fargrave Water Globules

Fargrave Water Globules, Static can certainly be used in a lot of different ways, not necessarily always water related, either. While it would be a perfect fit in a more aquatic, perhaps even underwater-themed home, there is a certain level of ambiguity in these glowing, slowly shifting blobs that mean it could be used to represent many other things. Perhaps a magical curiosity in a wizard’s tower, or just an exotic lighting solution. This is an eye-catching item in any case, and it makes it onto this list because of that.

The Fargrave Water Globules can be purchased from Rolis Hlaalu, the Mastercraft Mediator.

Deadlands Tapestry, Mehrunes Dagon

Whether you want a daedric theme in your home, or you just want some eye-catching red artwork to add a finishing touch to a room, the Deadlands Tapestry, Mehrunes Dagon is definitely worth considering.

It is quite large so you will need quite a bit of wall space to fit it in. Perhaps you could use it as a backdrop for a trophy room or maybe put it in a throne room, if you are so inclined.

The Mehrunes Dagon tapestry can be purchased from Rolis Hlaalu, the Mastercraft Mediator.

Blackwood Provisioning Station

Presenting the Blackwood Provisioning Station, because impaling a giant snake and putting it in your kitchen is a completely practical and reasonable thing to do.

No, but seriously, I'm not sure what I would do with this item personally, besides use it to scare away trespassers, but I'm sure some people will find a use for it. Maybe it could just be used as a... unusual garden decoration that also just so happens to double as a provisioning station.

Maybe you’re bored of your old “normal” provisioning station, or maybe you just want something a little different. No matter the reason, if you want to get one of these then it is also purchased from Rolis Hlaalu.

Fargrave Balcony

The last item on this list is the Fargrave Balcony, a very large wooden structure that will need a sizeable outdoor area to accommodate it. It makes for a good base to build on when making an outdoor seating area, or an overlook for your garden or other scenery.

It’s a simple item, but sometimes the simple items give you the most options (just look at how many evil mazes were made by people using nothing but hedges).

You can obtain the Fargrave Balcony from Deadlands Reward Coffers.
