The Elder Scrolls Online Update 49 brings the most significant ESO Plus subscription upgrades in years. With Seasons launching in 2026, ESO has added new membership benefits tied to the Tamriel Tomes system and made sweeping quality-of-life changes that benefit all players.

New ESO Plus Benefits in Update 49
Here is a quick summary of what ESO Plus members gain with Update 49. Reminder that all existing ESO Plus benefits remain unchanged. These new benefits are additions to the membership, not replacements.

ESO Plus Tamriel Tomes Integration
The new ESO Plus benefits in Update 49 are mostly related to the Tamriel Tomes System (Battle Pass). These benefits become available when Season Zero goes live, not with the Update 49 patch on March 9.
ESO Plus members receive:
- +10% Tome Points boost from all Challenge completions passively
- 1 Cache of Tome Points per month (2,000 points each, can be saved for future Seasons)
- 1 Premium Tome Token per month (collect 12 Tokens to redeem for one complete Premium + Bonuses Tamriel Tome)
If your subscription continues, starts or renews at any point in 2026, you receive Tokens and Caches for every month of membership in 2026 when Season Zero launches.
ESO Transmute Crystal Caps Tripled for Everyone
Update 49 triples the Transmute Crystal cap for all players.
- Base Transmute Crystal cap increases from 500 to 1,500 for all ESO players
- ESO Plus members still get 2x cap, raising it from 1,500 to 3,000 Transmute Crystals
ESO Plus Antiquity Lead Timers Doubled
Antiquity lead expiration times increase for all players in Update 49 (based on lead quality). Members receive double these durations, meaning Ultimate-quality Leads can be held for up to one full year before expiring.
Example: 
Huntsman's Warmask Mythic leads now persist for 360 days for ESO Plus members, giving you a full year to complete the excavation per lead.

Furnishing Limits Increased Across All ESO Homes

Solstice DLC Now Included in ESO Plus
Both Western and Eastern Solstice zones are now added to the DLC's that you can access with your ESO Plus Membership.
Update 49 launches March 9, 2026. Season Zero and the first Tamriel Tome goes live April 2, 2026.
