ESO Housing Slots Increase Up to 900% in Update 49

ESO Update 49 brings the first ever furnishing capacity increase. Staple and Classic homes get higher furnishing limits with some getting 900% increase.

Update 49 in The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) increases furnishing limits for Staple and Classic homes, with some homes receiving up to 900% more collectible slots. This is the first furnishing capacity increase since the ESO Housing System launched in 2017.

Additionally, 32 homes have been recategorized into higher tiers, giving them more furnishings slots and increasing the population caps. House prices remain unchanged.

What's Changing in ESO Update 49

Every Staple and Classic home in ESO receives standardized higher furnishing limits. Inn rooms like Mara's Kiss Public House iconMara's Kiss Public House get a 400% increase in Traditional and a 900% increase on Collectible Furnishing slots! Additionally:

  • 10 homes move from Staple to Classic category
  • 22 homes move from Classic to Notable category
  • Notable homes (large houses and manors) are excluded from this update
  • ESO Plus subscribers continue to receive double furnishing limits

Why Notable Homes Are Excluded

Memory constraints on lower-end platforms prevent Notable homes from receiving increased limits in this update. ZOS acknowledged they want to address this in future updates, but no timeline has been given yet.
