Solo Dungeons are coming to The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) in Season Two. ZOS is reimagining existing group dungeons for solo players and companion users, starting with Moon Hunter Keep and March of Sacrifices.

You can run them casually for the story or opt into harder mechanics at the entrance. New monster masks and cosmetics are confirmed as rewards.

ESO Solo Dungeons at a Glance

What Are Solo Dungeons in ESO?

Solo Dungeons are redesigned versions of existing group dungeons built for one player, announced during the 2026 ESO Seasons Direct by Amethyst Begley, Senior Content Producer. They arrive in Season Two as one of the most requested features from the ESO community.

The idea is straightforward: experience dungeon stories at your own pace without the rush that often comes with group play. You can bring a companion along or go in completely solo.

ESO Solo Dungeons Confirmed at Launch

The first two solo dungeons are both from the Wolfhunter DLC, set in Hircine's realm:

  • Moon Hunter Keep: Originally a 4-player dungeon featuring werewolf and lycanthropy themes
  • March of Sacrifices: Originally a 4-player dungeon set in Hircine's Hunting Grounds

Both dungeons are already part of ESO Plus and available for purchase individually. It's not yet confirmed whether the solo versions require the same access or if they fall under the free seasonal content model.

How ESO Solo Dungeons Work

Based on the 2026 Seasons Direct stream:

  • A casual story experience for players who want the narrative and opt-in harder mechanics at the entrance for players who want a challenge.
  • You can bring your companion into solo dungeons.

ESO Solo Dungeon Rewards

New monster masks and cosmetic items are confirmed for solo dungeon completion. ZOS did not specify whether the monster masks are the same as the existing group dungeon sets or entirely new ones.
