The developer (ZOS) has given an update on a few of the leads that still haven’t been found in the newest DLC in ESO (Elder Scrolls Online).
While most of the leads from the Firesong DLC have already been found, there are two or three that are still missing or have weird behavior.
- Frog Metal Buckle
- True Way Clay Dial
- Storm-Weathered Drafting Top
For information on all leads please visit the Firesong Leads Location list.
Frog Metal Buckle
One or two users have found the Frog Metal Buckle lead. They got it from a Blacksmithing Crate after doing the Blacksmithing Daily Writs. However, it is very strange that only one or two players have found this since a lot of players do their Writ Dailies every day. Either the drop rate is insanely low or it is somehow buggy and only drops for a few players. We will have to wait and see what the developers have to say about this lead.
The image below was uploaded in our ESO community discord by Gungnire. He said: "I was doing my dailies as I was making coffee so I wasn’t there to see the actual message pop up. But yeah, I’m thinking it came from the BS crate too".
UPDATE 10. Nov 2022:
ZOS just gave an update on the Froog Metal Buckle. You need to do TIER 9 (Voidsteel) Blacksmithing Writs to get the lead.
True Way Clay Dial
The True Way Clay Dial lead has not been found yet and the developers confirmed that this one is indeed buggy and won’t drop right now. Therefore you can give up searching for it until we have a response from the devs that it actually is fixed.
Storm-Weathered Drafting Top
The Storm-Weathered Drafting Top lead has also not been found yet. However, we also have no confirmation from ZOS wether this lead is actually buggy or not. New leads for a new DLC or Chapter are often found within a few days, therefore it is very likely that this lead is also bugged and doesn’t currently drop.
UPDATE 9. Nov 2022: ZOS just confirmed that the Storm-Weathered Drafting Top is also bugged and doesn't currently drop.
If you have more information or feedback about any lead locations in ESO please join our community Discord. We have a dedicated channel called #firesong-dlc-q4 where community members can confirm and add lead locations.
Sadly, it is often the case that with every new DLC or Chapter that one or two leads are buggy, the Firesong DLC also has that issue. We do hope that ZOS can eventually improve the Q&A process that this doesn't happen anymore. Some community members have been searching for these leads for days without any success. No wonder, if they are buggy and don't drop.
