The new year has begun, which means it's almost time for us to find out what content we can expect to come to the Elder Scrolls Online over the coming 12 months.
Each year Zenimax releases four major updates for the game, the biggest one usually being the Chapter release in Q2, and its likely that this year will be no different in that regard.
However it's expected that some things will be done slightly differently this year, with the usual year-long story expected to be dropped in favour of the first part of a longer multi-year storyline.
The first look at the year's upcoming content normally comes in January, and we now know when ZOS will be revealing their plans for the coming year.
When will the 2023 content for ESO be revealed?
There will be a stream on the Bethesda Twitch channel on January 25th, starting at 8PM GMT.
The first 45 minutes of the stream will be the Developer_Direct feature, where the first major announcement of the year is expected. After this, the Global Reveal Event will take place, where details about what we can expect to come to ESO in 2023 will be revealed.
As a bonus, you can get the Ritual Casting emote from Twitch Drops for watching the stream. Whether that's a clue that this year's chapter will have a magical theme or it's just a coincidence, we can only speculate.
Many players will also be hoping that a new class will be added to the game at some point this year, as it's been several years now since the Necromancer class was added. We talked about this possibility in more detail in this article.
It will certainly be interesting to see where the new story content will take us this year, and what new game systems will be added to ESO.
We hope you enjoyed this article about the ESO 2023 Global Reveal Event. The Elder Scrolls Online is a massively multiplayer online game developed by Zenimax Online Studios.
