New Life Festival 2021 in ESO is finally here!

CELEBRATE NEW LIFE
The New Life Festival in-game event beings this Thursday, December 16 at 10:00AM EST and runs until Thursday, January 4, 2022, at 10:00AM EST. If you’d like to take part in this joyous jubilee, acquire the New Life Festival quest from the in-game Crown Store and use it to find the New Life Herald, Breda, located south of the city of Windhelm, Eastmarch. Even if you’ve already completed this intro quest during a previous event, you can do it again!
Find Breda to begin the celebration or open the Crown Store to receive the quest starter.
Complete the quest “The New Life Festival” and unlock a ton of unique New Life-themed daily quests (ten total) that help spread cheer and merriment to all the people of Tamriel. The first time you complete your first New Life Festival quest, you also unlock the Breda’s Bottomless Mead Mug collectible, which provides a two-hour 100% boost to XP gains when consumed. You can use this festive flagon and enjoy the XP boost throughout the entire event period, and even better, its benefits stack with other XP bonuses.
Rewards from the New Life Festival
Each time you complete a New Life Festival daily quest, you receive a New Life Festival Gift Box. These celebratory coffers can contain all manner of festival-themed goods, including Motif chapters, recipes, collectibles, furnishings, and more:
A "New Life Gift Box" typically contains random items such as crafting materials, consumable mementos, and Wolfsbane Incense, the Skinchanger style item. However, they will also have a chance to contain rarer items, including:
- Skinchanger Motif chapters
- New Life recipes
- New Life collectibles (packaged in Runeboxes and tradeable):
- Sword-Swallower's Blade memento
- Juggler's Knives memento
- Fire-Breather's Torches memento
- Mud Ball Pouch memento
- Nordic Bather's Towel costume
- Colovian Filigreed Hood hat
- Colovian Fur Hood hat
- Snowball Buddy pet
- NewPowderwhite Coney pet
- New random page for the Nord Carved Armor style
- A selection of lights, lamps, and lanterns for your home to celebrate the Signal Fire Sprint
- Draughts of Stealth and Escape to celebrate the Trial of Five-Clawed Guile
Of course, this festive season is all about spreading holiday cheer and goodwill, and throughout the event, when you open a New Life Festival Gift Box, you have a chance to receive a Charity Writ. This year, you can discover two different Charity Writs within Reward Boxes:
- New Life Charity Writs–Complete 12 of these to unlock the “Newly Charitable” Achievement and Crystalfrost skin.
- Deep Winter Charity Writs–Complete to unlock pages from the new Skaal Explorer outfit style!
- Imperial Charity Writs—Complete to unlock pages from the Rkindaleft Dwarven Weapon Style.
Quests and Achievements
The Quests will send you all over Tamriel, there’s a quest for each playable race. For example, the Khajiit themed quest will send you to Reaper’s March. Finishing a quest will reward you with a “New Life Gift Box” which can contain provisioning recipes, pages of the Skinchanger Motif as well as rare hats, costumes (like the Nordic Bather’s Towel), mementos and Charity Writs.
Doing every quest at least once will reward you with the “New Life Cerulean” dye. There are several additional achievements, earning them all will net you the “New Life Magnanimous” title for your character. For that title, you will have to do several special achievements for each quest, learn the full Skinchanger Motif and all the New Life Provisioning recipes.
Impresario & Event Tickets
The first time you complete a New Life Festival quest each day, you’ll receive three Event Tickets in addition to your Gift Box and other rewards. With Event Tickets, you can purchase the following goods from the Impresario:- All three Unstable Morpholith pet fragments
- All Deadlands Scorcher skin fragments
- All Deadlands Firewalker personality fragments
- All Dagonic Quasigriff mount fragments
- All Doomchar Plateau house fragments
- Bound style pages for the Nord Carved Armor outfit style
- The Powderwhite Coney pet
- Group Repair Kits
This is also your first and final opportunity to collect all the fragments for the Doomchar Plateau house.
