Is this the Strangest Set in ESO?

Is this the Strangest Set in ESO?

The new High Isle Chapter in the Elder Scrolls Online will, as usual, add several new sets to the game. Some of them are from the overland content in High Isle and Amenos, some from the new trial Dreadsail Reef, and some which can be crated by players. Today we are taking a look at one of the new crafted sets, known as Druid's Braid, This set is very unusual and does not resemble any other item set in the Elder Scrolls Online.

Druid's Braid is a crafted set, which means it is available in all armor types. You just choose which one you need and craft it. But what is so unusual about the set?

Well, this is the first set in the game to have more than five set piece bonuses, in fact it has 12 of them. This means that in order to get the full effect of Druid's Braid, you will need to have it equipped in every single item slot, including all of your armor, jewelry and weapon slots.

So what does the set do? Surely dedicating all of your item slots to one set should yield a very strong reward, right? Surprisingly, not really. What you do get from this set is very high amounts of extra max health, magicka and stamina, but that is literally it.

Druid's Braid set in ESOThe set is in a very strange place and it's hard to imagine many ways in which it's likely to be useful - it's just very weird. It could maybe be alright for some kind of tank build just because it gives you so much extra capacity in your attribute pools, but in PvE there are literally dozens of sets that are more useful for tanks. I can only imagine seeing this used in non-champion PvP campaigns (where proc sets are disabled) on builds that are solely intended to survive for a very long time under pressure. Even here though, using the set limits your options by making it impossible to make use of any other set bonuses that may be useful.

So in summary, unless I am missing something blindingly obvious, this set seems to just be an oddity that won't really be used.

Where can I get Druid's Braid in ESO High Isle?

If you still want to try out the set, you need to head to Amenos, the smaller of the two main isles in High Isle and Amenos. There is a cave in the southern area of Amenos that contains the crafting stations for Druid's Braid
