Get ready! Next Thursday, January 18, Bethesda will unveil what awaits us in ESO and Tamriel this year. They’ll also provide a glimpse of their plans for 2024, the 10th anniversary year of ESO.
The journey will take us to a new yet familiar region, continuing the storyline from the Necrom chapter. The initial information has already fueled theories among fan circles about this new chapter. As is customary, selected ESO players and community streamers received mysterious mail containing a letter and an accompanying fragment. Since then, discussions have been buzzing on the official Elder Scrolls Online Forum and Reddit.
The attached letter was penned by Beragon, a Wood Elf and the older brother of Eveli Sharp-Arrow, whom we know from the Blackwood chapter. In his letter, Beragon urges the reader to embark on a journey to the southwestern coast of Tamriel. He also mentions a “kinship” that has turned away from the Pact. Our task is to search for something significant related to the enclosed fragment and report our findings to him in Grahtwood, while keeping his sister in the dark. Alongside the fragment, leaves have been enclosed with this letter. Each recipient received a distinct fragment, different from the others. When assembled, several familiar but also unfamiliar symbols become visible. Fans are trying to identify the Watcher Eye of Mora and a symbol featuring two crescent moons, reminiscent of the coat of arms of the city of Skingrad.
Many fans agree that the clues point to a storyline involving the Bosmer, and the tale may begin in Valenwood. Perhaps we’ll shed light on the disappearance of Falinesti, which vanished mysteriously during the Second Era without a trace. It’s all very intriguing. We’ll find out more on Thursday.
For Twitch viewers, there’s an exciting new drop during the stream: the “Pyromancer’s Quandary” Tune in on January 18 at 10:00 PM (CET) to catch the action!
