The ESO QuakeCon 2021 Free to Play Event is now live and runs until Monday, August 30 at 10am EDT. During the free-play period, anybody on PC/Mac, Xbox consoles (Xbox Live Gold required), PlayStation consoles, and Stadia (Stadia Pro required) can download and play ESO for free!

In order to join the event, you have to create an account on this page. Once you created an account, you will also get 500 Crowns that you can spend in the ingame Crown Store. You'll have access to the full The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited base game and Morrowind, not including DLC game pack areas. Upon account creation, you will receive 500 crowns to spend in the in-game Crown Store. Perfect for Crown Crates, unique outfits, XP boosts, and more!

Any characters you create, Crown Packs or Crown Store items you purchase, and progress you make during the Free Play event will carry over if you decide to purchase the game.

If you participated in any previous Free Play events, any characters, progress, Crown Packs and Crown Store items you acquired during that time will still be available to play as well!

Because the Free Play Event includes the base game, you can begin your Gates of Oblivion adventure with access to the Blackwood Prologue questline. If you’d like to continue your story beyond the Free Play Event, pick up The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: Blackwood from the Buy Now page to get immediate access to the game and previous Chapters.
