1st April Joke Article
ESO-Hub has recieved information from an exclusive source that there is a big rethink for PvP on the horizon in the Elder Scrolls Online.
Combat designer ZOS_Woeler took some time to speak to us about the new plans for Cyrodiil in ESO.
ZOS_Woeler told us that while Cyrodiil is traditionally a PvP zone, the developers have become increasingly receptive to the plight of PvE questers in towns like Bruma who are being constantly assailed by gankers while trying to complete their daily quests. It is also an especially tough environment for players who simply want to find all of the Skyshards in Cyrodiil, particularly those hidden behind the Alliance Gates.
Rather than simply moving the Skyshards to a more accessible location, it's been decided that it would be better to bring an end to the brutal Alliance War that has ravaged the land for the past nine years.
In next year's chapter, players will reportedly be able to return to Cyrodiil and embark on a new story line, helping the residents of this ravaged land to recover after almost a decade of constant zerg warfare, and being subjected to the angry tirades of /zone leaders on a daily basis.
Cyrodiil is already a huge zone with a complete landscape, so this direction will allow Zenimax to create a Chapter with a larger playable area than ever before, filled with new quests, delves, dungeons and world bosses.
When asked about the concerns of the PvP players who frequent Cyrodiil at the moment, ZOS_Woeler assured us that there would be a renewed focus on Tales of Tribute, ensuring that ESO will have a healthy PvP environment for years to come.
It remains to be seen how the PvP community will react to this new development.
We hope you enjoyed this article about PvP in ESO. If you did not notice, it is April 1st today.
