Top 5 High Isle Locations in ESO

The High Isle Chapter for the Elder Scrolls Online is just over a month away from launch, and we've had some time to look around on the PTS over the last couple of weeks. The High Isle zone is beautifully crafted, with fields of sunflowers, rocky crags, lush jungles and other impressive terrain features, not to mention the buildings which are for the most part unlike those we have seen previously in ESO, and do a great job of capturing the overarching theme of High Isle as the home of the richest Breton nobility. 

In this article we will share our five most favorite locations in the High Isle Chapter. 

The All Flags Islet in High Isle is interesting, especially for lorebeards, because it gives us a closer look at the history of the island and its role as the home base of the All Flags Fleet that attacked the Sload in retribution for the Thrassian Plague in the First Era. All Flags Islet was where the fleet began its existence, the first ships were based here and these ships protected the island while the dockyards of High Isle began churning out the huge number of ships needed for the operation against the Sload. 

By the time of the Elder Scrolls Online, the island has been turned into something of a museum that commemorates this history and offers plenty of lore insight for those who are interested. The Island is also afflicted with a curse which the player will be able to solve with the help of two characters whom seasoned questers will be very familiar with by now. 

Stonelore Grove is a secluded area in the west of High Isle, and offers a new insight into the ancient druidic religion that some bretons still follow. The Stonelore Druids are based in the grove, and they work to keep the balance of nature throughout High Isle. 

At Stonelore Grove, you can help the druids to cleanse a corruption that is threatening to destroy the druids and cause havoc for all residents of High Isle if left unchecked. 

Castle Navire is a large castle in southern High Isle, complete with tourney grounds, knights chambers and its own dockyard. The interior of the castle is decorated in the lavish style that one would expect from a home of Breton nobility. 

You will also need to pay a visit to the tourney grounds of the castle to find one of the new companions in the High Isle chapter, Isobel Veloise. 

This small port settlement on the southern shores of Amenos serves as the entry point into the overgrown prison island. Here you can learn more about what exactly imprisonment in Amenos means for inmates, something which isn't as simple as it sounds. 

It can be a bit tricky actually getting to Amenos in the first place if you don't know the lay of the land, but we wrote a short guide explaining how to get there, so if you want to learn more then you can check that out here. 

Ghost Haven Bay is a public dungeon located in the east of Amenos. It is a pretty nasty place, filled to bursting with monstrous crabfolk, swarms of giant wasps and some very restless spirits. The whole place is shrouded in an eerie fog, and part of the dungeon is effectively a massive graveyard of shipwrecks inhabited by ghosts of pirates. It definitely looks like this location has fallen under some kind of curse.

Some of the bosses in here are also unusually tough for public dungeon bosses, so you will need your wits about you when exploring Ghost Haven Bay. 

High Isle will release for ESO on June 6th 2022.
