How Players Are Getting the Most out of Markyn Ring of Majesty in ESO

The Markyn Ring of Majesty is a mythic item in ESO (Elder Scrolls Online) that has garnered a lot of interest recently, especially among PvP players.

In this article we will look at why players are interested in this item and how you can use it to build a powerful character in ESO.

Markyn Ring of Majesty grants the wearer 100 weapon and spell damage and 1157 armor for every item set that they have equipped three or more pieces of.

While in PvE this item isn’t that great, as it is generally outpowered by other mythic items like Death Dealer's Fete and Harpooner's Wading Kilt, in PvP it is a very nice fit because it grants you both damage output and damage mitigation, which are essential elements of any successful PvP build. Sure, you can get kills if you just stack damage without any mitigation, but you will quickly get melted in sustained combat.

PvP builds also often backbar a damage-increasing proc set which makes Markyn fit more naturally for them - more about that later in the article.

Markyn Ring of Majesty obviously gives you more value when you are using multiple three piece set bonuses. If you are wearing a pretty standard build with two five piece sets then you will get two stacks of the buff from the mythic, but in PvP it’s quite easy to get more out of it than this.

To get the most out of the item, you should make use of back bar sets - this is when you have three pieces of a set on body or jewelry and the fourth and fifth piece on your back bar only. This way you can switch to the backbar, activate the proc effect of that set, and then switch back to your main bar to make use of the buffed up damage.
