Five Impressive Furnishing Items in ESO and How to Get Them

ESO (Elder Scrolls Online) has a huge amount of furnishing items, having been gradually accumulating more since housing was first added to the game around five years ago.

Some of these, especially the more impressive items, can be quite difficult to get or are only available in the crown store, so in this article we will focus on a few cool items that you can get quite easily just by earning in-game achievements. A couple of them are a bit grindy but none of them are really “difficult” to get.

Abyssal Pearl, Sealed - ESO Furnishing

The Abyssal Pearl, Sealed can make an eye-catching decoration in pretty much any home.

To get it, you need to complete the Back to the Abyss achievement, in other words you need to defeat every unique boss that can appear at the Abyssal Geysers in Summerset at least once. Sometimes when doing these you will just get a generic boss rather than a unique one, so it is a bit of a grind to get it, but if you like the item then it’s probably worth it!

Once you have the achievement, you can get the item from Tarmimn, who is located in Alinor. It costs 75,000 gold. Doing this achievement will also grant you the “Abyssal Champion” title.

Dark Anchor Pinion - ESO Furnishing

You have doubtless seen plenty of these around the world, when clearing Dark Anchors - Molag Bal’s engines of the Planemeld.

To get a Dark Anchor Pinion for yourself, you will have to do an achievement that is also quite grindy, and similar to the last one, namely the General Executioner achievement.
This involves slaying all 16 of the unique bosses that spawn at Dark Anchors, and again sometimes you will just get a generic boss instead of a unique one. This is quite a time consuming one, but you can also level up your Fighters Guild skill line at the same time. The achievement will also grant you the “Daedric Lord Slayer” title.

After doing this, you can purchase the Dark Anchor Pinion from a Hall Steward merchant, who can be found in Fighters Guild bases in cities around Tamriel, for 100,000 gold.

Dwarven Liminal Diffusion - ESO Furnishing

This bright green light can be used for all kinds of thematic effects in your home.

You need access to both Greymoor and Markarth to get it, as it is rewarded for completing the Taking up the Mantle achievement, which you will receive after finishing the Dark Heart of Skyrim questline and speaking to Verandis in Blackreach: Arkthzand Cavern.

The Dwarven Liminal Diffusion costs 50,000 gold and can be purchased from Tirudilmo in Markarth.

Hanging Map of Tamriel - ESO Furnishing

The Hanging Map of Tamriel is the perfect decoration for dedicated explorers, and unlocking it will require some exploring too.

Access to this item is awarded after doing the Tamriel Trailblazer achievement. To get this achievement you must discover all “striking locales” in the base game parts of the Daggerfall Covenant, Aldmeri Dominion, Ebonheart Pact and Coldharbour. Cyrodiil, Craglorn and all DLC zones are exempt.

“Striking locales” are the locations you will find on the map marked by the eye symbol. You don’t have to do anything special there, simply go there to discover it and move onto the next one.

After finding them all, you can buy the map for 10,000 gold from Narwaawende in Elden Root, Wayrest or Mournhold.

Gargoyle Statue - ESO Furnishing

Will it come alive to attack you, or is it just a normal statue? Who knows. This item is perfect for warding off trespassers and is especially well suited for vampiric homes.

To unlock the Gargoyle Statue, you need to get the Hero of House Tamrith achievement, which is awarded after doing the Blood-Spattered Shield quest, part of the main Rivenspire questline.

The statue costs 50,000 gold and can be bought from Lozotusk in Shornhelm.
