ESO Tales of Tribute players losing rank points despite winning matches in the new card game

ESO Tales of Tribute players losing rank points despite winning matches in the new card game
Some Tales of Tribute players are confused as to why they are losing rank progression even though they won the match against their opponent. In the official ESO forum someone made a thread showcasing how the player actually got deranked even though they won the prior game and should have gained a rank.

In the video you can see that after the player won the game they had 2210/2000 points, which should have led to them rank up to the Quicksilver rank in the Tales of Tribute rank progression. However, after the player went to check their rank again in the competitive list in the activity finder it only showed 510/2000 points in the Ebony rank. You can see this in the image below.

A similar issue happened when the card game launched with the High Isle Chapter. Some ESO Hub users reported that they lost 1000 points instead of the normal 100 when they lost against their opponent.

In the forum thread another user reported that the progression bar at the end of a Tales of Tribute match is very out of sync and doesn't actually showcase your correct points. For example, it might only count the wins and not the losses, giving you the impression that you have more points than you actually have.

It seems that there are quite a bit of sync issues within the Tales of Tribute system. Therefore we do recommend looking at your rank progression via the group & activity finder showcase in the image above, it seems that the progression numbers there are correct.

If you find more issues you can also always in our ESO community Discord. We do hope that ZOS will fix this sync issue soon as it causes frustration and confusion among the ESO players.
