ESO is launching on the EPIC GAMES store. It will launch today on 20. July 2023. Not only that but you can get the game for free during the whole launch week from 20-27 July.
That way players have a whole week to claim the game and keep it forever. This deal is only for the base game of ESO (Elder Scrolls Online). It also doesn't matter whether you install it or not, you just have to claim the game to keep it. ESO is 120GB big, it could take a while to fully download the game.

ESO is free to claim from 20-27 July
In a thread on the official ESO Forum it was confirmed that you can claim the game for free and keep it from 20-27 July.
ZOS_Kevin also confirmed that you will keep the game forever.
It might be that the servers could struggle a bit with the vast new players trying out the game.
Ascent of the Arcanist Promotion
During the same time ESO is also holding a promotion event called "Ascent of the Arcanist". This event will stay active until July 28.
"Level up your Arcanist to unlock a free in-game reward bundle". To be precise, you need to reach level 10 to unlock the rewards.
The Ascent of the Arcanist bundle includes the following mystical items:
- Scrawl of the Arcanist Visage face markings
- Scrawl of the Arcanist Tattoos body markings
- Devoted Torchbug pet
- 3× Grand Gold Coast Experience Scrolls (150% EXP for one hour)
- 1× Skill Respecification Scroll
You need to own the Necrom Chapter to participate in the event.
