A few weeks ago, Zenimax performed a hardware upgrade on the PC NA megaserver, which was purportedly only intended to prevent future hardware failures and resultant downtime, with no noticeable performance improvement expected by Zenimax. We wrote about this in more detail in this article.
Soon after that maintenance, many PvP players had reported that the common lag problems that they had been used to in Cyrodiil had been solved or at least improved, contrary to what Zenimax said we should expect. This had led to much excitement among players on other megaservers who are expecting a hardware refresh to take place at some point in the future.
However according to the most recent reports on the topic, it seems that these performance improvements might have been short lived.
Cyrodiil Has Started Lagging Again in ESO
After a few weeks of good performance in Cyrodiil on the PC NA megaserver in ESO, the lag has apparently returned.
