Possible Invulnerability - Nachtklinge Baue PvE - ESO

I'm a Nightblade, so I will build this as that, but will probably be pretty universal. Error: little to no damage output. This build is usable in either circumstance. Second Set variable.

Guide

Erläuterung bauen
Dieser Leitfaden ist in Englisch geschrieben.

Meditate + Deliberation + Light of Cyrodiil = 45% damage resistance

Lingering Flare = Major Protection = 10% damage resistance

Oakensoul = Minor Protection and Major Resolve, 5% damage resistance and 6k armor. Minor Aegis an additional 5% damage resistance in trials and dungeons. Also various other buffs.

Radiant Magelight = Immunity to stun from sneak attacks

Fortified Brass + Heavy Armor = stacking up resistance

Shield preferred as naturally gives armor, but Ice Staff works too with CP Bulwark.

Actually, I redid some math below and realized Bulwark gives less percentile resistance than the resistance CPs.

Defending and Nirnhoned/Reinforced Traits. Protective Jewelry. These stack armor resistance.

Minor Resolve: Resolving Vigor (Assault), Mirage (NB, also Major Evasion),  Arcanist Runeguard, Sorc Bound Aegis (either bar, passive [but not backbar with oakensoul]), Blessing of Protection (Resto). 3k armor. Mirage also 20% damage resistance from Area attacks (Major Evasion).

Total is 60% damage resistance, excluding armor. High Elf 65%.

65% in dungeons and trials. High Elf 70%.

80%-85% vs area damage, if NB with Mirage. High Elf 85%-90%%.

If an ally is using Abyssal Brace set and bracing within 12 meters of you, you get Minor Evasion, upping you to 90%-95% DR vs area damage. High Elf 95%-100%.

Likewise, if an ally arcanist casts an arcanist ability near you, Minor Evasion 5 seconds.

Warden can slot Deceptive Predator to gain Minor Evasion at all times. But, do they have a Major Evasion source?

Might be able to use a Major Aegis set if you run trials and dungeons to stack 105% damage resistance vs area and 75% damage resistance at all times in trials and dungeons, High Elf 80%. In place of Fortified Brass. At 16.5k armor, that 75% becomes 100% due to the 25% Armor resistance. 5 heavy should do the trick, so your Aegis set should be heavy.

At 33k+ armor, you add 50% to each of the above. Resolves add to the first number, so you will have 9k naturally excluding other armor sources. If you can stack to 48k, you will be immune in PvP, as long as they don't have more than 15k pen.

Including max armor:

110% damage resistance at all times. High Elf 115%.

115% in dungeons and trials. High Elf 120%.

130%-135% vs area damage (NB Mirage). High Elf 135%-140%.

Minor Evasion from ally, 140%-145% vs area damage. High Elf 145%-150%.

Major Aegis 125% in dungeons and trials, High Elf 130%. 145% from Area (NB Mirage), High Elf 150%. Minor Evasion from ally 155% from area, High Elf 160%.

CPs

Warfare Tree

Passives: Hardy and Elemental Aegis grant 2% damage resistance to Martial and Magical respectively, combined is 2% overall damage resistance.

Passive: Preparation makes 10% damage resistance vs NPCs.

Bulwark: With Shield or Ice Staff, increase armor by 1900.

Cutting Defense: deal light damage to anyone who hits you within 7 meters of you. Increases based off armor.

Duelist's Rebuff: 3% damage resistance per stage vs single target damage taken, up to 6%

Or Enduring Resolve instead of DR: 3% damage resistance per stage vs DoT, up to 6%

Ironclad: 3% damage resistance per stage vs direct (instant) damage taken, up to 6%

Fitness Tree

Fortified: 34.6 armor per point. 1730 max.

Juggernaut: While under CCI, take 1% less damage per stage. Up to 5%.

Pain's Refuge: reduce damage taken by 2% for every 2 negative effects on you, up to 20%.

Spirit Mastery: reduce time to revive your allies by 33%

Craft Tree

Liquid Efficiency: reduce chance of consuming your potion or poison when you activate it

Rationer: increase duration of food and drink

Passive: Breakfall = reduce damage taken from fall damage by 7% per stage, up to 35%.

All passives are recommended, but not needed. The ones involving damage resistance are needed.

I'm not adding High Elf below. Too many parts. Would get too confusing.

New Damage resistances with CP. The first is Player, second is NPC.

If second set is Buffer of the Swift, the second number is the only one you need to know, as it becomes both player and NPC.

62%-72%. Up to 74%-84% from direct and single target attacks. 68%-78% if single target DoT or area direct. 62%-72% area DoT.

With Mirage, 82%-92% from area DoT, 88%-98% from area direct.

Under CCI, 67%-77% area DoT, 73%-83% single dot or area direct, 79%-89% single direct

Mirage and CCI: 87%-97% area DoT, 73%-83% single DoT, 93%-103% area direct, 79%-89% single direct.

Aegis (NPC only so excluding player version)

Minor Aegis

77% base. 77% area DoT. 83% Single DoT or Area Direct. 89% Single Direct.

CCI: 82% Area DoT. 88% Single DoT or Area Direct. 94% Single Direct.

Mirage: 83% Single DoT. 89% Single Direct. 97% Area DoT. 103% Area Direct.

CCI and Mirage: 88% Single DoT. 94% Single Direct. 102% Area DoT. 108% Area Direct.

Add Major Aegis

87% base. 87% area DoT. 93% Single DoT or Area Direct. 99% Single Direct.

CCI: 92% Area DoT. 98% Single DoT or Area Direct. 104% Single Direct.

Mirage: 93% Single DoT. 99% Single Direct. 107% Area DoT. 113% Area Direct.

CCI and Mirage: 98% Single DoT. 104% Single Direct. 112% Area DoT. 118% Area Direct.

This is excluding Armor. You probably don't need Major Aegis with armor.

Alternatively, you can trade the Single target resist for DoT resist, and you can simplify it into 6% damage immunity to everything instead of the complicated stuff above. You won't be as specialized though, but also won't have the same weakness.

Adding High Elf below.

Traded Duelist's Rebuff for Enduring Resolve:

First is player - Second is NPC (And Player if second set is Buffer of the Swift)

If second set is Buffer of the Swift, the second number is the only one you need to know, as it becomes both player and NPC.

68%-78%.  High Elf 73%-83%.

With Mirage, 88%-98% from area. High Elf 93%-103%.

Under CCI, 73%-83%. High Elf 78%-88%.

Mirage and CCI: 93%-103% from area. High Elf 98%-108%.

Aegis (NPC only so excluding player version)

Minor Aegis

83%. High Elf 88%.

With Mirage, 103% from area. High Elf 108%.

Under CCI, 88%. High Elf 93%.

Mirage and CCI: 108% from area. High Elf 113%.

Add Major Aegis

93%. High Elf 98%.

With Mirage, 113% from area. High Elf 118%.

Under CCI, 98%. High Elf 103%.

Mirage and CCI: 118% from area. High Elf 123%.

With armor, you should be over 100%.

Warning, Buffer of the Swift is a Light set, and you won't have much armor if you use it. Enemy penetration will zero your armor score and the listed resistance will be all the resistance you have.

PvP warning: some players might use Vulnerability against you, reducing your resistance by 5/10/15. (Minor, Major, Minor and Major). Most commonly Major from NB Lotus Fan (10).

Warning: Little to no DPS. That's why I added Cutting Defense.

You can trade Bulwark for a third resistor, granting you another 6% damage resistance to half the damage out there. Totalling 6% everything and an additional 6% vs half the field. Now that I think about it, might be better than Bulwark, as it's only 1900 armor (2.8787…%, 2.9%). Yeah, go for that.

Not adding High Elf below. Too much wording may make confusing. Add 5 if max level High Elf with all passives.

Mk2: Cutting Defense, Duelist's Rebuff, Enduring Resolve, Ironclad, excluding Bulwark

First is player without Buffer of the Swift - second is NPC and player with Buffer of the Swift

Remember, this is while channeling Meditate using Deliberation and Light of Cyrodiil

Base: 68%-78%. 74%-84% from single target, or all if traded Cutting for unassailable.

With Mirage, 88%-98% from area. Upped to 94%-104% with unassailable.

Under CCI, 73%-83%. 79%-89% single target.

Mirage and CCI: 93%-103% from area. Upped to 99%-109% with unassailable.

Aegis (NPC only so excluding player version)

Minor Aegis

83%. 89% single target.

With Mirage, 103% from area. Upped to 109% with unassailable.

Under CCI, 88%. 94% single target.

Mirage and CCI: 108% from area. Upped to 114% with unassailable.

Add Major Aegis

93%. 99% single target.

With Mirage, 113% from area. Upped to 119% with unassailable

Under CCI, 98%. 104% single target/unassailable(area).

Mirage and CCI: 118% from area. Upped to 124% with unassailable.

If you do drop cutting defense for unassailable, use single target as all and add 6% to area. I'll go ahead and write that above as “upped to”. Only writing the all in two spots. Unassailable is pretty useless if you use Mirage. Especially useless if you also have an ally granting Minor Evasion as well.

I forgot to double check races for racial perks related to this. There is one: High Elf. Reduce damage taken when channeling or casting a cast time by 5%.

If playing a High Elf with ranks in that passive, probably max level needed, then add 5 to all the percentages above. Should make it easier to go over 100% in most cases.

Vampire might help as well, on 3 parts. A) Reduce damage taken by up to 30% based on your missing health. B) Blood Mist gives you access to an area damage ability. C) Bats Scion is a much better area damage ability. Both Blood Mist and Bats Scion are DoT I think.

Error: Flame damage taken is increased. Are you willing to take that risk?

This is all theoretical.

Theoretical.

Not Proven.

They probably have a limit on natural overall mitigation like they have on Block Mitigation and Armor Mitigation.

If Meditation counted as blocking, you could seriously stack many resistances with it, like Abyssal Brace. Or you would have been able to use Frozen Watcher as damage output, or Thews of the Harbinger.

But it doesn't, so oh wells.

Remember, your primary damage is from durational area abilities and Cutting Defence.

You might use Spell Wall to reflect projectiles. Don't know if it will remain active while meditating or if it will let you meditate. I hope it does.
